Well thats your opinion so what Kingdom Hearts has been out for a couple of years and FF about 10 years but still FF has quite about lowdowns where Kingdom Hearts only had about 1 or 2 which was the Cutscenes and mostly Button Bashing(Which i didnt mind) so my Opinion Kingdom Hearts Owns Final Fantasy but true Without Final Fantasy there would be no KH so i give you credit for that :p

FF is a little confusing I have to admit, but when you beat a really hard noe, you get a much stronger feeling than you do for KH. Also, sometimes you can tell which ones came 1st (timeline-wise, like how Shinra is in FF10-2 and FF7) It's really cool. And if you never play FF games, you don't really know too much about the FF guys in KH games. So I vote for FF.

And there are more characters I can relate to. :)

Final Fantasy is what made RPGs what they are so dont hate just because the battle system isnt what you like.

And despite defending FF I say KH is better just because you get: a FF fix, a fair amount of humor, and dare I say it........ a story that makes enough sense that you want to follow along.

I'm pretty much the biggest final fantasy fan in the world so sorry if this seems a bit biased.

Hmm, truthfully kh would not be what it is without FF. That is a point which we cannot deny, in more ways than one.

Everyone's aspirations to cream sephiroth so they can brag to friends - it wouldn't ever happen without final fantasy 7. Square-Enix? it would cease to be here (along with kingdom hearts) if Hironobu Sakaguchi has not led the ambitious project to create the first final fantasy, saving square from bankrupty and making it the flagship company it has become.

Take away final fantasy and alot of KH falls apart. Who knows, without FF the KH we know and love could have ended up as a cheap multiplayer FPS game, using donalds beak as a cannon (a bit of OTT i know but...for the purposes of clarifying how much FF means...)

As for the storyline's of the final fantasies; they're so compelling! I mean i don't know about other hardcore fans of FF like me felt absolutely gutted when aeris died...or in final fantasy 8, the ending to that - gave me a great feeling.

The music, oh god it's incredible. The way it can fuel your emotions and exemplify specific scenes in the game is nothing short of amazing.

On side-quests it delivers too...Omega Weapon, The dark aeons, Penance...all nice challenges to spice up an already incredible game.

The producer of KH - Tetsuya Nomura..lots of FF experience behind him.

I'll stop there otherwise i'll be here til tomorrow writing a thesis that covers about 35 pages of this thread :p.

Me either, but I still voted Final Fantasy. That series is a classic, and has been for well over a decade. Kingdom Hearts can only hope to be as successful and have the same continuity as Final Fantasy. It's better because... the plots are different in each game, so are the characters and worlds. I just love the designs and music in all of them, it's a million times better than Kingdom Hearts. FF9 was actually the video game that got me hooked on things like this. So... Final Fantasy wins because of FF9 alone. But the others are just as good!

Again, no final fantasy...the battle system in KH falls down (magics,drives, items). You'd have no spells or anything. And ultima weapon...FF written all over that. without that our ultimate weapon in KH would like 'the tri-pointed stick of flowery doom' o.O.

Ophidian Dusk is completely right in that you don't get the sense of feeling of complete triumph from beating KH as you do with Final Fantasy. I mean we all felt good to see Sora's and Kairi's hands come together, but you really don't feel like you have just overcome the most troublesome of obstacles.

The music really doesn't compare either. I have several soundtracks from FF, but only 3 songs from KH so far. lol

The problem with KH is that you could never really get attached to the characters . As the heroes dying just wouldn't be disney's style. Even if this was an element of KH i still don't think it could match up. FF's story are all so deep; which is maybe why many find them confusing at best. If you take the time to think about them the stories are beautiful and become mesmerising.

I agree with Ophidian Dusk, I hate it when I spend 50- 60 bucks on a game and end up beating it entirely in like 30-40 hours. I love that FFXII is taking me like 100 hours to beat, if it's a great game like KH and FF, then I love it to last that long. Like I bought Call of Duty 2 last year and beat it in about 12 hours, so I ended up spending almost 3 dollars per hour of gameplay, now THAT IS A WASTE! lol.

I can tell you that Final Fantasy is MUCH better than any Kingdom Hearts games avaible out there.

The storys in the FF games may be confusing for some, but it's more for "serious" gamers. Those story DOES make sens when you make enough effort to understand it.

Some says there may be a lot FF games. I agree! But FF games is what saved Square Soft. (No, not Square Eenix). FF1 was the last hope to stay alive, since they had many financial problems back then, exactly 20 years ago. In other words : the results of this poll means nothing at all. NOTHING.

I can tell you that Final Fantasy is MUCH better than any Kingdom Hearts games avaible out there.

The storys in the FF games may be confusing for some, but it's more for "serious" gamers. Those story DOES make sens when you make enough effort to understand it.

Some says there may be a lot FF games. I agree! But FF games is what saved Square Soft. (No, not Square Eenix). FF1 was the last hope to stay alive, since they had many financial problems back then, exactly 20 years ago. yeah I do admit that FF s can get a bit anoying in the fact that you have to take turns, because you always need a character when its someone elses turn, but..... I still love them, but I liked Kh because it was quite simple.

I think they r both master pieces of square-enix. KH has a rly fun battle system which kinda reminds me of the battles in DMC.(Hack and slash FTW)

Final Fantasy for sure. The truth is that without Final Fantasy there would be no Square, and there fore no Kingdom Hearts. It literally saved the company from going out of business. They have also released several great Final Fantasy games. Come on Kingdom Hearts can't say that a single Kingdom Hearts game has changed the way RPGs are made, unlike Final Fantasy.

Just so people know I have played and beat the following FFs and KHs:

Final Fantasy: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, Mystic Quest, Adventure, Tactics

Kingdom Hearts: 1, Chain of Memories, 2

Also the first Final Fantasy come out in 1987.

FF all the way, Like I've said many times. And like Ophidian Dusk says, the ultima weapon Is from FF, and Guess what, the Fenrir is based off of Cloud. So if you lost FF there would be 2 weapons gone, not including the Sleeping Lion.

i would say kh is better than ff because of the battle system. in ff u get random encounters and its a turned based battle. and in kh u get to move around and fight and do all different kind of things. kh has random encounters too but those don't get on my nerves, the ff random encounters gets on my nerves.

I think both have excellent qualities. I originally got into KH and drifted into FF because of KH. I must say I like the Final Fantasy games stories better, but KH's is good too. Its a hard choice for me personally but I am more of a KH fanatic than a FF fanboy so KH for me.

That was true for me as well, i played Kh before any FF series except for FF tactics, afterwards i played Ff 7,8,10,10-2(sucked) and 12 and i loved them all but KH series still hold number 1 to me.

I think KH is better because it's something fresh, something unexpected. Or at least I thought so. I was kind of getting tired of playing FFVII, X, and X-2. Then KH showed up and it was really great. Final Fantasy is getting a little too overrated, or at least FFVII is. Though i'm not saying I dislike the FF series, it's just that I prefer the KH series more.
