Well even when I first played the game it was pretty obvious who it was. TWO:Most Everybody else in the world is pretty content with it, seeing as how it has never come up in an interview or anything that would raise suspicion as to who it could be. it's just Ansem. lol

it wasnt ansem, the voice was helping sora (unless you mean from kh2)

Who do you think it was then? If it isn't Ansem, or at least the "wanna-be Ansem", then why did it repeat everything that he said to Sora when we meet Ansem on Destiny Island at the very end of the game, when we go to fight him? Obviously there is a connection, aside from them having the exact same voice. Does this not make sense to anybody else? lol

you never hear the voice, all it does it write on the screen stuff like: don't be afraid ect. and it appears in kh2 :p

I am not so sure we are talking about the same thing here, pal. lol In KH1, on Destiny Island, the dark figure that comes out of the door in the cave, and I am talking about the voice that you "HEAR" just before you meet Ansem on the beach. They both say the exact same thing and are the exact same voice. That is why I think it is Ansem, or at least Xehanort's nobody.

i could be wrong but doesnt terra in the unloockable movie scene thing at the end of one of the fm+ say "i meant to send it to him" or something,so maybe terra was that voice and he thought it was riku doing all of that tutorial stuff...

Would Nomura have known about Terra when making this first game though? I remember reading somewhere that the voice turned out to be King Mickey because in Final Mix, the same voice talked with Riku, and apparantly it was King Mickey, but I don't know if that was confirmation or lies. As stupid as this may sound, I always thought that the person talking to Sora was a past keyblade master, and he was guiding Sora along his path. And then I thought it could be his heart, as this game seems to be obsessed with them, but Roxas had this voice too, and he doesn't have a heart so...

Well, if we're talking about the "voice" that is actually just letters on the screen, I've been wondering that myself. I've assumed that it was some higher being lol
Hmm past keybearer.... could be possible never thought of that. I dunno, it's still a mystery to who that "voice" could be, but I hope we find out soon.

Maybe it could be the voice of the past owners of the keyblade, maybe whatever source of power the keyblade is linked to, or perhaps it could have been the keyblade itself. If ya think about it, the silent voice could not be heard (obvious but w/e lol) but our voices can be heard (again obvious) but keyblades can't talk. However, with the birth by sleep thing, maybe it connects through that process, and is able to communicate with the newly-chosen keyblade user before they are prepared to venture off.

I've always speculated about this and all it leads to is me questioning whether Riku is really supposed to be the keyblade master. Nomura has stated that Riku was meant to receive the keyblade, but why was that voice talking to Sora prior to the heartless overtaking the world and him receiving the keyblade.

Only guess I can make though is Mickey, since he is already in the dark realm at that point, or so we can think.

Wow I think that pretty much just summed everything up... I always thought it was Ansem too, possibly Ansem the Wise. I know that it can't be King Mickey, the cloaked figure is too tall... :p

Another reason why it can't be ansem (Xehanort Ansem) is that the voice appears again at the end of the game when the gang finds Pluto.... or when Ansem's... you know, dead...

Terra makes alot more sense to me than Xehanort's Heartless. Why would Xehanort's Heartless just talk to Sora in the beginning? He could have just struck him down and it would have been game over...

Terra was most likely somewhat of a "guardian" for Riku and Sora until the Keyblade decided to choose its master; that's why we see the scene of Terra watching Riku and Sora in BBS... ;)
