In the year 6006, the world has been so highly toxicated by humans that there is barely any ozone left. There isn't even enough so that people can come out in the day time with out being incinerated in the blistering sun without any protection. Earth's people have no choice but to arise to the surface during the night. However, people have built a whole separate world, ... underground. Cities of people are bustling under the Earth's smoldering surface. These cities, cramped and toxicated as well, are infested with gangs and crime.
Some new animals have evolved upon Earth's surface so they can adopt to the heat. These animals can be anything from fire lions to dragons. Yup, I said dragons. These predators are fierce becuase on the surface, there is not much greenery for them to munch on, and on they off chance of meat on the surface, they strike. Not many are known to tame these fierce beasts. However, there is a catch, people CAN come out during the night, and that is when vents from the underground cities open for air. That's when the surface animals go hunting.
The government has assigned a team of people who must guard the vents at night, to ensure no outside creatures get in.

Note: Shadow - Race of people who live in shadows and can dissapear into them as long as they are in darkness. Can open shadow portals to anywhere a shadow exists.

Drake slammed against the ring's edge. He could feel it cracking behind him. "Damn...this guy's huge." Riados came from behind, slashing witha strange shadowed weapon. Drake took the opertunity to jump up, slashing. The beast fell down, dead. "Alright...so who else thinks they can take us?"

Drake closed his eyes, but when he did, his senses hightened themselves tenfold. He could hear the footsteps of the people walking beyond the fight, he could hear rude conversations between people tenty yards away. He could even hear the couple underneath the bleachers, trying so hard to be quiet.

Drake felt something different, a new energy he hadn't felt in Ros before. "Interesting..." He rushed up, his katana glowing slightly. "Strike!" He brought the blade down over Ros.

Drake grabbed his sword, yelling, "Quake!" He pulled the blade up as the ground crubled beneath him. He phased, reappearing above Ros. "Take this!" He slammed his foot into Ros, sending towards the now jagged ground.

Drake woke up in the back room in a white ned. Most of his wounds were covered with bandages. He sat up, but fell back down in excrutiating pain.

Erin looked around the last battle had her on the edge of her seat. She stood up her sword trembled at her waist, she placed a hand over the sheath. The blade soon stoped as she exited the arena.

She walked over behind him but not too close. "Um.... Are you okay?" She asked her voice shaking a little. She shook it away steping a little closer to him.

Drake had his hand against a building, steadying himself. "Yeah...I'm fine." He coughed a bit.

"Name's Drake...you?" Drake coughed again, wiping a bit off blood from the side of his mouth.

Drake took one step, then fell. He simply fainted from pain and exhaustion.

"I knew this would happen." She took a deep breath then walked back to where Drake had falled. She traced her hands over his body looking for any broken bones, she found none. The ony thing wrong with him was that he was completly exhausted and the minor cuts that the area infirmary had bandaged up. She half draged half caried him back to her house, which was only a block away. Her father meet her at the door when he asked what had happen she explained it all. He then told her to place him it the guest bedroom, so he could get a better rest. Erin did as she was told, she place him in the bed then left the room closeing the door behind her.

Before she did she bent down holding up a bucket with a rag hannging over the edge, she placed the reg in the warm water. She let most of the water fall back into the bucket then folded it up and planced it over drake's forehead.

Riados walked over to a desk labeled 'Lost and Found'. "Here." Riados turned around. "She's stolen everything in that bag, and she has no right to steal...."

Drake nodded. "Thanks..." He took the food gratefully. He took the spoon(?) and dug in.
