if someone else has said this, sorry, but i dont read all the posts.

when sora was sleeping in the pod, before namine woke him up, he must have been cloned or his like DNA musta been done or something totally bizzare like so. i mean he was sleeping, and there must have been a birth of some sort, to either make another generation or, from him sleeping the people running tests on him could have discovered a past about sora, that leads into why he is the chosen one. when you think about it in all the games, it never truly goes into detail about why sora is the keyblade master. he just is, and maybe, when he fell asleep, somebody finally found out why sora is the master, and that the keyblade war, and the people in the knight outfits, could be his like ancestors? i have no idea, im just farting out ideas. but if you agree or have any feedback, negative or positive, just say it because i feel like a major geek now.

I have a few theories. Sora, when in his dormant state, somehow had another of him made, like Roxas, only different...it could be like one of the new things to fill the Heartless/Nobody roles. It would be called, like...a Wanderer or something O.o

And Wanderers would be what are made when people are out of their bodies for a long time...like a Heartless, only with a heart. Or something. Like when people are in comas. Though I dunno, that might be too dark for the game.

Or when some/one of the Org.XIII members died, they could have become something ...like Axel regaining his heart or whatever right as he died ('cause he sacrificed himself and whatnot) he could become a...Phoenix...

XD I dunno. We won't until we know more about the game. Speculating is fun, though.

dude, lol, i doubt he would be cloned. This is a Disney game. Not some science fiction game.

i guess you could always interpret the 'birth by sleep' quote as when you become a heartless you fall into a sleep-type state, giving birth to your nobody...

What on Earth are you talking about? lol. That was the one and only Sora, there was never two of him. Sora reached Namine, and he was put to sleep and encased in that thingy, and the world was born for Roxas to live in.

I thought about it and I think it concerning Sora's sleep for a year is too obvious. Seeing as the next game will be about the origin of the keyblades, my guess is that Birth by Sleep is the process that one goes through to become reborn as a keyblade master through a dream that tests them (like Sora's Awakening).

personally i think it has to do with riku and xehanort.....
while riku is still tryng to get rid of darkness (xehanort) inside him
something must of happened to xehanort so he regained his memories
hense "MEMORIES OF XEHANORT" at the secret ending in KH2 sooooo.....
xehanort now remembers he is a keyblade wielder (guessing) and is planning out a war

as for teh "Birth by Sleep" i dont think any one is born sleeping, they usually are a crying baby....and i know for SURE that the mom aint sleeping

lol j/k i think that its very possible that DiZ did some other things to Sora besides just restore his memories.

We know that DiZ (such a cooler name than "Anshem der Wise") is the one responsible for brining about the whole Sora Keyblade Thing. He Un-did the lock on the Heartless/Nobodys/Soulless that the Chasers put on.

Whats to say that he didnt do more "testing" on Sora? There WERE a lot of pods in the basement.......

Those were my thoughts exactly. Like in the opening movie at the very end when Sora, Riku, and Kairi are "sleeping" on the beach and Roxas is plunged down into the darkness from Sora- that is what I think of everytime I hear "Birth by sleep"

True!!! I finally found someone who agrees with me. I think the third game is going to be a story as the Keyblade War as the center between keyblade wielders, giving birth to the first heartless and nobodies. A keyblade war would create a whole lot of heartless and nobodies!! lol granted that is pretty far-fetched.

well I think that this all happend in the past and that "History Reapeats Itself"

The "Chasers" or the ppl in SH were the ones who started it all. They created the Keyblades to counter the darkness but it led to a war. The Chasers then sealed everything off (In Kingdom Hearts?). Ansem then Opened the Door, unlocking everything that the Chasers had Locked.


darn it Ansem why cant you just leave it ALONE?!?!?!? man. I tell ya. Those Chasers musta worked SO hard to lock everything up all to see some "Wise" leader go in and undo it all.

Well i thought birth by sleep ment how xemnas is reborn, let me explain. A rumor is said that in the letter sora, kairi, and riku got from king mickey, it sais how xemnas was reborn by sleep and remembers who he truly was, and he was a keyblade master. Someone said that something summoned xemnas or something like that. I think he was reborn by sleep. Basically if u ever played ffx there was this guy who kept on dying and then coming back by birth by sleep.

I hate to spam, but let's try not to get off the subject this time.

Just a theory, but this is what I think. Well, when you watch the trailer the person walking towards the guy that's standing up - at the beginning of the game - is actually a girl. If you look close enough you can tell by the way her body curves and how she walks. Anyway, I think the guy that the girl is walking towards is Sora, like in his past and the girl is Kairi, because in the first game she's kind of important, she's the main princess Maleficent needs to conquer all. I think the taller guy at the end that's standing in the middle of those two is Riku. Just to remind you or if someone didn't know, Riku was suppossed to be the Chosen One, but his heart was too dark, so it chose Sora instead and in the second game Riku gave Kairi a keyblade to fight with. So those three are really important, so I'm just theorizing that those three could be the Chasers and the one in the background that's all blury is Xehanort. He knows his true calling was to weild the keyblade and rises up against the Chasers. That's just what I think.

I saw a very interesting theory once: (unsure if it is past or future) there were once 4 keyblade wielders. 2 were of the light and 2 of the darkess. they were called "chasers." Eventually one of the dark chasers relized that what he was doing was wrong. He decided to betray the other dark one and become light. This is what we see in the clip. He comes down the crossroads and meets up with the other chasers of light. Everything seems fine until they see the fourth chaser, the only one of the darkness coming down the pathway....what do you think?! It could be right!
