Can anyone anwer this?

To solve some of our questions, i think its really important that we know if KH3 is gonna be a prequal or a sequal. If we know this it would be such a big help to all of us who are wondering about it. So does anyone know if it will take place in the future or in the past?

Kingdom Hearts 3 is more than likely a sequal to KH2 but that doesn't mean that we won't learn a little more about events that have transpired before the original story line, I think that the past will have a great deal to do with the future story. That is just my opinon

We'll learn about the Ancient Keyblade War and then it will be a sequel to the end of KH2 (remember they received the letter. That actually gives you a hint that it will be a sequel). And as I've said a thousand times, the Keyblade War will happen again in Sora's actual time ;)

plus i think in kh there was this cutscene in the game where u see kairi as a little girl and her grandmother is talking to her about some war that had occured

The funny thing is, when I saw the secret movie after finishing KH1, I was like "Wtf?". Then I played KH2 and it hit me how simple it would have been to figure out.

Somehow, I think the KH2 secret movie will do the exact same thing when KH3 comes out.

As for when KH3 will be...Id say after KH2 as well.

It will probably take place in the present/future, at least a lot of people think so. I personally think it will be. Another possibility is it takes place far in the past, telling the story of the origin of the keyblades and Kingdom Hearts and the heartless and nobodies. I think the idea of it taking place far in the future would be rediculous, since neither Xehanort nor Sora, Riku, or Kairi could be in it, unless in the near future.

Most likely sequel of KH2 with flashbacks to past events that are affecting present situations.

i was just thinking about something...what if the next KH3 will start something like kh2...it will start with a new chr and a series of events that eventualy lead to sora's or another chr's story.like that person's story ends with them saying a word or a name that will play a big role in the story to come.
then we see sora wake up all disturbed and what not(since the last two strart with dreams) on the beach in destiny island or with kairi in riku in the king's castle or something(given the letter at the end ~_^)then you play as sora and we eventualy get to a point where sora realizes what he dreamed about or we meet up with the person who's name he heard or finds himself in the place he saw or heard or w/e. then he trys to see if that person is a friend or foe deppending on what he sees in his dream.
this is just a theory i have and there are probably some things missing or wrong with it but i think its pretty good so far.
