i hope his helps you out here is a artice fom khinsider.com
Next up, we would just like to clarify things. This is something that has been pretty much confirmed for awhile, but we are reporting it now. The names of the female knight and young male knight are Aqua and Ven respectively. Something important of note that we would like to point out, their names mean Sky and Sea in Latin, similar to Sora and Kairi. Is there a connection here or is this a coincidence?
apparently, tehyre connected somehow to sora and kairi. maybe the new enemies names are determined by their original names. you take their original name, and translate it into another language. makes sense. and where did you find this?
also, even though nomura said that the characters are all new, he didnt say that they couldnt be like "new enemie" or like family of them

That is very interesting.
Sora and Kairi = Japanese for Sea and Sky.
Aqua and Ven = Latin for Sea and Sky.
Maybe we can go one step further now we know this. So two of the three knights' coincides with Sora and Kairi, could the other be Riku? Remember that Riku is Japanese for Land, so what COULD the other knights' name be? Well I used a Latin translator and the results were... Terra, Tellus, Ager, Solum, Humus.

I think these guys are Sora Riku and Kairi. But don't yell at me yet, 'cause i know they aren't... in a way. What I mean is that it's the 3rd symbol from Roxas's picture. The 'Soul' or 'unknown'. This is backed by the fact that there are 2 guys and a girl (Finally a girl who can fight) and that Aqua and Vens name is so similar to Kairi and Sora's.
i think solum or terra are the most logical. but if they are other types of enemies, then it shoudl be related to riku bc riku doesnt have a HL or a NB. and terra soudns like a girls name.

hmm, the way you put it leads to believe there may be something to do with reincarnation possibly.. i mean, in japan that's a pretty strong possibility.. maybe these 3 are our main 3 in a previous life

I doubt we'd see that in KH though. Maybe another 'form' of them, like a true light or dark form or something.

OMG HEZ RIGHT! lol.
Okay, you guys are a bit off. Aqua translates to WATER. As far as I know, ven translates to POISON. Venom (Ven-num)? English does have it's roots in Latin. Latin is English's base language, actually. Here's my source:http://www.wordinfo.info/words/index/info/view_unit/2275/?letter=V&spage=2
I'm not sure if that is the correct translation or not, but that was the only thing I could find. If anyone can give me any solid proof other than a post on a kingdom hearts fansite, that would be appreciated.

You're right! I never thought of checking it, but I got water too. You could still say that water=sea though. As for Ven&sky, nothing came up for that word, nearest I got that made sense was Ventosus, Ventus or Ventulus which all have something to do with wind. I'd go for Ventus personally. Ven could be his nickname.
Some people have been saying that it means sun, too.

Lol i just assumed they meant water and for some odd reason put "sea". Altho i must admit i didn't check any of them, but i had never heard that Ven=Sky. Your most likley right, it seems far more logical.
Does this mean they arn't the same as what Sora and Kairi's names mean?
everywhere i checked, ven means either "to come" "come here" or "coming"

Maybe this has to do with aqua. Because in the first KH game what was part of the first cutscene? Sora falling down into the sea. Also, in (I think) the first cutscene in KHII we saw that Sora Riku and Kairi were laying on the beach, holding hands, then all of the sudden roxas falls out of Sora downward into the same type of water that Sora was in before.
So maybe there's something to do with the sea in KHIII. Maybe even perhaps some sort of power down there and something is calling Sora (or whoever) down to it. Hense the whole Aqua=water and Ven="coming, come here, come" thing.
i never understood why sora went into the station place. i mean, if riku was the keyblader, why idnt he go?

There is an interview on Kingdomheart3.net in which Nomura states that Ven isn't his full name as such, more of a nickname, that his name is longer. So it could very well be Ventus or something like that.
[KH3fan02 EDIT: Here is the link to the interview, http://www.kingdomhearts3.net/scenario-mysteries-interview/ ]
Wow, Kairi, you got that early on. I never would have guessed that Ven is a nickname.
