actually in the first game he was looking for riku and kairi and in the second game he was lookin for riku and king mickey. he does have a right to cry because like a lot of other people said kairi was safe on the islands and riku was trapped in the darkness, plus sora hasn't seem him in a year. kairi only hugged him cause she forgot about him.

Sora only cried twice in Kingdom Hearts II (although I'm not sure if he was blushing or getting emotional when seeing Mulan and Shang at the end of the second Mulan adventure). He had very good reasons to do so.

1. Roxas was crying through Sora and Roxas had a good reason. Poor Roxas has just given up his seperate existence, as well as all the fake friendships he made with the digital versions of Pence, Olette and Hayner and the other digital people in the fake Twilight Town. He has never actually met the real Pence, Olette and Hayner, but he knows about them. However, he can't say goodbye to them properly not only because he is part of Sora but the real Olette, Pence and Hayner don't know him. They 'think' they know Sora, but for all they know, he could look like some random guy they occasionally pass by in the street. What's more is that Roxas doesn't even know if he's going to see his 'friends' again. I think that he has plenty of reasons to cry.

2. The last time Sora saw Riku, he was locked behind a door. He knew that Kairi was safe - especially when he saw her fighting those Heartless with her new Keyblade. He didn't know about Riku, though. Mickey Mouse did give him a big clue in Twilight Town, but Sora's hopes seemed to be shattered when Roxas told him that he defeated somebody called Riku (Sora doesn't know who Roxas is at that point, nor did he know that Riku fought Roxas ages ago).

Sora: He said... he defeated Riku...

Sora: That guy. In the black coat.

Donald: But nobody could defeat Riku.

Sora: Y...Yeah, you're right.

If Sora was a crybaby, he would have cried when Destiny Islands was destroyed. He would have wept when Jasmine disappeared. He would have cried when King Triton got angry with Ariel. He would have cried upon finding out that his memories of Namine were fake. He would have bawled when Shang discovered that Mulan was a woman.

I wouldn't call him a girl.. He's a little bit of a wimp sometimes, and he cries too, but I think that's a good thing. It makes a nice change when the main character isn't some pessimistic and moody character you just have to hate. They're all so different and have a variety of personalities. Sora is the immature and cheeful one, Kairi is the strong-minded and responsible one and Riku is the self-confident and mature one.
