Years before Sora's adventure, there was a great war. In a place between worlds, there were those known as "Chasers", those who had manifested great power and chanelled it through weapons they experly crafted known as the Keyblades. There were four Chasers.

The Chasers all had the power to create, save, destroy and lock world's hearts. Their keyblade gave them enough power to unlock the energy of a worlds physical heart and be able to move from world to world.

The Chasers began to follow their own ambitions. In the place between worlds, where all of their keyblades laid to rest, the four seperated. Two followed the path of light, bringing life to the worlds, following the paths of Light and Twilight. The other two, they grew unhappy and decided that those who did not respect them should perish. They followed the path of Darkness. They began to bring destruction to worlds, destroying them.

One of the two Dark Chasers realized the faults in his ways and decided to back out. Much as Riku did, this Chaser follows the path of Dawn back to the Crossroads where he is forgiven for his ways. The final Chaser, the one they called Xehanort, would not give up, would not give in. The war began, it is unknown for how long this terrible time lasted. It has been recorded though and the Chasers are much like gods.

The war was either between great armies or just between the four Chasers, either way, the Dark Chaser, the Dark Keyblade Master known as Xehanort fought against the others in a great Keyblade war.

Xehanort was defeated, and with that, he lost something dear: his memory. Cast away he was born again by sleep. Waking up in the world of Radiant Garden, almost dead, a great Saint known as Ansem found him and offered his assistance. He promised to help him and when he realized the man's memory was gone, he offered to help restore it.

The Chasers each had the ability to spread their power to a disciple or their spirits lived on through a bloodline or chosen ones. Passing their power on to make sure to Order of the Worlds was kept safe.

One Keyblade went to the King of all the Worlds: Mickey.

When Xehanort began to believe he was in fact Ansem, his fascination with the Keyblades grew. Unknowning even to himself who he was.

When the Heartless were born and began to create chaos, Riku was chosen to weild the next Keyblade, to save the people from destruction while Mickey was in the World of Darkness. But, Riku's heart was tainted by his willingness to let darkness overcome him and the Keyblade was passed on to Sora.

After being selected first and later overcome by Xehanort, Xehanort was able to harvest his power to reclaim his Dark Keyblade and thus, Riku was able to have his own.

The final Keyblade was unnecessary until later, when the goodness and innocence of Kairi was able to bring hope to the other Keyblade Weilders and she too was chosen.

Roxas only had ones because he is an element of Sora.

After their adventures had ended, Mickey sends a troubling letter to Sora, Kairi and Riku. A letter that reveals Xehanort's next plot. That he has perhaps remembered his true self. A plot to destroy the other Chasers, a plot to be the one and only Keyblade Master.

A great beast is sent to the Crossroads between worlds but is slain by one of the Chasers. The others appear from their selected paths and reclaim their Keyblades, as though they haven't been touched in a long time. They look to the road of Darkness and the shady figure of Xehanort moves forward. Through his time within Riku, he is essentially "reborn" and while Riku tries to remove him, he is never gone. With enough power he returns to the Crossroads and a great war is about to begin once again. One that will decide the fate of the Chasers and all of those who hold a Keyblade... Affiliates:

I have recently discovered myself that maybe we have it alllll wrong...

You see Ansem the Wise's study brought Heartless about.. So what would be the point of having a keyblade(created to lock worlds and destroy heartless) if there we not heartless.. You see there were no heartless back in the time if the chaser's were even in the past.. That leaves only two things.. Either when Ansem the Wise was alive that the chaser's were brought out...Or possibly.. That movie is in the Future... I eliminated the past option.. which ..I've found to be correct.. Cause Ansem the Wise's study created heartless.. So what was the point of there being a keyblade...Nice theory though..

I also came up with a conclusion much like that Cloud Blade :)

Great minds think alike :P

********
However, we don't know if Heartless can be created Naturally. Only that they were created at Radiant Garden are known about...So, if we follow this, and the creature in the Secret Ending of KH2 IS a Heartless, it would make more sense for it to be in the future...

thats a very convincing theory cloudblade:D but there leaves one question who created the keyblades, how do we truly know heartless didn't exist in the past. it could be that ansem the wise reawakened the heartless after they were sealed in the past But even if heartless didn't exisit in the past how can the game take place in the future if sora and friends were about to begin a new adventure? sure it could be a new project but is it possible that it takes place in the present.
the keyblade can also unlock the hearts of world and people and it probaly could be used to lock away peoples hearts, the hearts of worlds.

I've thought of this..If you have beaten KhII or even got to the part where Ansem and Xhnehort are talking than you would know that Xhnehort said" Why is it wasn't for you this would have never happened you are source of the heartless..Him studying it and his apprentices betraying him created heartless... It says in the game that Ansem was the reason heartless were around

good point but there's still the question of who created the keybladeS?

Cloud Blade
01-05-2007, 06:20 AM
Well.. The Darkness one was created by Ansem.. or Xhenhort's heartless..You never know The god's cold have created the other keyblades.. Maybe the fortold this would happen and would know that this was what had to be done... I'm not realyl sure..

what i dont understand is why would people think it is in the past. if it was then why would sora's riku's and mickey's keyblades be near each other. and if they already met then how could the shadowy figure be xheonart if he was destroyed in kh2?

Cloud_Strife
01-05-2007, 09:13 PM
Yeah, But It's more likey to be in the future

Tyas

Mabye since they didnt mention the past or the future its the present.

wouldent you agree?

Kingdom_Spades

im sorry. but about your theory, how can that be true? i read the first sentence and i was like, what? no way. because those keyblades were created for their owners, riku, mickey, and sora, and that keyblade war would have been in mickey and ansems thoughts. remember in the end of KH2, and Ansem the wise is like, "I cant compute hearts, and without hearts the world would be utter chaos." and on and on, i mean it wouldnt be years before the past. its more likely the future.

King Mickey
01-09-2007, 11:38 PM
Keyblades had to be around before Ansem because in an Ansem Report King Mickey visited him to warn him to stop the experiments. But then in another Ansem Report it said that keyblades were said to bring both chaos and prosperity to the world, so maybe keyblades can create heartless too, which would make sense since Sora turned himself into a heartless with the keyblade.

Khaos

If Ansem mention's in his Reports that Keyblades can bring Chaos, how can HE truely know that? The only people he even KNOWS of having a Keyblade is Mickey. And maybe Sora. And neither of them wrought Chaos with their Keyblades.

in some of the other threads we've entertained the possibility of a different dimension.. like what the center knight is holding is one giant keyblade... maybe that was the original keyblade? maybe it was used to travel through dimensions as well as worlds

i have been watching the secret ending and have come to a conclusion. It is in the past because i noticed all of the keyblades in the field that make the crossroads dont have keychains. So i think these r the original keyblades. Now i also think that they have been destroyed and when you obtain a keyblade you get the ''spirit'' of it

What do you guys think

vanilla bear
01-11-2007, 02:35 AM
the original keyblades... no way, there are well over a few thousand at the crossraods... and i think a good way to look at keychains is to say that they sort of reflect the spirit of the person who wields it..

didnt' i post that exact idea about a week ago real? anyway the is no way that that trailer is in the past due to this guys theory and mine. that railer is definitely in the future. Also the words on the trailer are proabably farther into the future than KH3.

All of the posts here have been mentioned elsewhere on these forums (except the spirit thing).

The theory in the first post has been posted twice already in the Rumours section, which is where this thread should definitely be.

I can't be bothered to repeat myself for the umpteenth time about this theory and the mistakes within it, so until this thread is either closed or moved, please look at the Rumours section.

The name "Rise of the Unknown" was shown in some fanart. It's completely made up.
