Hey i know this is a little late to be asking but You know in the KH Final Mix its said to have an extra seen about how Kairi got on the island in the first place. but since i cant speak Jap. im not sure so does anyone know exatly how she got on the island?
I know she had some tie with Hollow Bastion.

she lived in hollow bastion, and i think the 'ansem' ansem sent her to the destiny islands

It was also mentioned in one of the Ansem Reports.. I don't know which number it is from my memory, but the basic jist was something along the lines of.. Kairi is originally from Hollow Bastion and Ansem (or whichever form of him) sent her far far away to look for the keyblade so he could experiment? And of course she found the keyblade and it's master. Just search Ansem Reports in Google and you'll get it better than how I've explained it.

Thst is not proven still, but it is likely they are related at least their names hint of that with their relationship wiht Water....
