SOLDIER: The Fall of Mankind

The age of SOLDIER is fading. One year after the two refugees Drake and Xykru escaped, the entire Shin-Ra corporation began to collapse. It was then, Sephiroth came to power. With a swift takeover, Shin-Ra became a mere factory to create J-E-N-O-V-A clones. Sephiroth also plans on re-activating the Genesis Project, despite its known failure.

Drake, due to the Mako Poisoning, became obsessed with Sephiroth, helping him with whatever he needed. He became nothing more than a mere slave to the new Darkness.
Xykru disappeared, helping occasionally from the sidelines, but never out in front. He was ashamed that he couldn’t stop Haru or Sephiroth himself.
Horus, even though blind, still survived. The rebel faction still exists, but it is not active anymore. Ebony is presumed dead, and was lost shortly after the Mako Cannon destroyed OMEGA Weapon. The rebel faction has grown in strength and in numbers, but not powerful enough to have a significant impact on the now Sephiroth-Controlled Shin-Ra.
Rali went into hiding, disappearing within the shadows. Not much is known about him.
Rhenakos, oddly enough, joined the resistance after learning that the Shin-Ra scientists were planning on killing him. His skills proved useful, since they acted out his death before the eyes of the Shin-Ra Executives, allowing the passwords and layouts to remain the same.
Asures, while not dead, was ripped of his two best materia, Bahamut-ZERO and Knights of the Round. His current whereabouts are unknown.
As most of the Turks were killed, Lin is presumed dead.
The long inactive Deep Ground somehow survived OMEGA leaving the earth, and have been plotting against the new planet ever since. They will soon have a way to get closer to the planet to inflict their revenge.

OOC: I'm starting my intro to the Sequel.

In a large slightly dim room filled with bookcases and a single wooden desk with an uncomfortable wooden chair where some of the books had gathered dust as if no one had been in this large room for a long while. A single figure with spiky blonde hair and blue eyes was sat down on the uncomfortable wooden chair with his clear blue eyes slowly moving from side to side to examine the contents of a large red book with slight golden pages resting in his black leather open finger gloved hands.

"Dammit!" shouted the figure who closed and slammed the book on the wooden desk as his voice echoed throughout the room.

The figure lifted his head from the wooden desk to clear light filling the large room to reveal a charming pale face with a disappointed expression upon his face. The figure revealed himself to Rali who was exactly 19 years old. He stood up from the wooden chair and picked the book from the desk to walk over to one of the bookcases to slide the book back into its place. He walked over to the old wooden door at the end to leave the large room to enter another large room filled with more bookcases but there were people here who were reading or looking for books amongst the bookcases while small conversation occured people talking to other people behind medium sized counters that went up to the waist. This place was a library where people would go for many different reasons.

"Did you find it this time?, Rali" asked an male old librarian with grey hair and a long beard and he wore a white shirt with a brown vest.

"Not this time, Edwin" replied Rali politely to the old timer known as Edwin only smiled at polite young man in front of him.

"Well maybe next time" said Edwin straightening his glasses to look at Rali properly.

"Yeah. See you some other time, Edwin" said Rali who walked towards the exit which was a set of dark wooden double doors.

Edwin waved bye to Rali before he went back to business. Rali pushed both doors open and stepped onto the the top of a small set of clean stone steps to reveal a wonderful site of four clean roads overlapping each other with cars moving along the roads at a average speed while civilians walked along the pavement with friendly and happy expressions on their faces. Across one of the streets was a beautiful fountain with a golden statue of a dolphin spraying water of its blowhole to land in the clear water around the golden statue. The sounds of laughing and giggling children were heard where children were playing in the fountain or chasing each other around with innocent looks on their faces. Parents would only smile at their children's actions which brought happiness to their hearts.

Rali felt his mood of anger and disappointment subside when he saw the friendly port city of Elen. He walked down the clear and clean stone steps one by one to place both his feet onto the clean stone pavement. Rali walked along the pavement away from the library behind him.

In: After leaving his post for a break, Darius walked away from the solid gates that gave entry to the port city of Elen. He like the other guards were charged to protect the people of Elen from harm but Darius himself didn't trust some of the people mainly the ones who made all the decisions. But he rarely showed his dislike for fear of losing his job because of his own personal opinon. Darius arrived near a friendly tavern where he would go for a quick drink. The tavern was named 'The Uncivil Fisherman', Darius himself wondered why this tavern was given the name but he shrugged it off when the sound of beer being poured into an empty glass was heard by his ears. He opened the door to the tavern and entered with the door slamming shut behind him.

Rhen gazed upon the Pheonix. "Wow! It's...amazing!" The Pheonix cried loudly, shaking the foundation of the resistance base. "Shh! Quiet!" He looked around, making sure no one heard him.

Reiker walked out of a back alley in Neokalm. He had just left his home, for he had a gig in Wutai.

"Well, I am out of here." He muttered to xykru, sulking in the door of Reikers house.
The young man left his down companion and rode his motorcycle with all speed to wutai. he entered the bar and talked to the tavern keeper.
Soon, he was up on stage, his guitar in hand.
"Hope you enjoy teh show folks!"

Rhen found himself on the back of the Pheonix. "Alright...lets go!" The Pheonix seemed to understand him, and flew towards the town of Elen.

"A summon? That is strange..." he muttered.

Rali continued to walk down several blocks and crossing the streets carefully before he came up to a cafe named Cafe Sadera with a single apartment build over it in this peaceful sector of the majestic port city of Elen. He walked into a small alley to enter a side entrance. Rali walked up two sets of metal stairs that led to the apartment above the cafe which got customers who were fans of talking or enjoying coffee.

"What the... Who are you?" He asked, noting his weapon was still strapped to his bike.

"Sorry! I'm so sorry!" Rhen jumped up, ignoring his scarred legs. "I...was on the Pheonix thing and...slipped." He looked around. "Are you ok?"

Rali opened a old rusty metal door at the top of the last set of metal stairs to enter a short sturdy wooden corridor and at the end was a single red wooden door with a golden door handle. He walked down the corridor with his feet pressing down on the strong wooden floor. Rali pulled out a set of bronze keys out of his pocket and he inserted one of the keys into the keyhole and he twisted to the right to hear the sound of the door unlocking.

He pushed door open to reveal a large apartment with a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and three bedrooms. Rali entered the living room filled a large 30 inch TV and two red leather sofas with a red elegant-looking rug in the middle of the wooden floored room. He could tell that Sinvair was sleeping because he checked the clock and it was exactly 8:43am in the morning and Sinvair didn't get up at least by 10am. It was at least a year since his confrontation with Sephiroth but Rali heard nothing from him not even a weird laugh being heard. After hearing Shinra had fallen meaning most of the large cities were badly affected by this time Elen was a developing town and now it was a propercous city.

While checking the mail, Rali discovered a large parcel addressed to him which confused Rali who placed the rest of the mail on a small table in the living room before sitting down on one of the red comfortable sofas to rip off the dull brown wrapping to a red tome with a word spelled in golden on the front and the word was 'Strife'.

Xykru Faire:
Xykru watched his young friend leave, heading off to wutai. his mind cascaded through the past as he closed the door and walked back to the sunroom. He paused at the door and winced, then walked way. He never entered that room anymore. All his weaponry, materia, adn armor were there, along with the fractured blade of his long gone friend, Drake. In the center of all those things was the empty bottle he had used to resurect drake. The bottle had once held pure lifestream, and that lifestream now flowed in his friends veins.

Xykru quickly walked away from that room, leaving the door unopened. The last time he had been in there, he had given Shiva to Reiker. he returned to the living room, gazing out the window.
"i am sorry drake..." he said, not willing to let anyone see him like this.

Rali stared at the tome wondering did it have any information on 'Cloud' but it could only be a record of his family in the past. There was only one way to find out as Rali slowly opened the book to reveal a black page then he carefully turned it over to examine the contents of many different members of the 'Strife'. He saw odd names like Eri and Carsus but ignored and he began to search for the name of Cloud and he found it several more odd names which were probably common back then.

He carefully looked up the number of the page that displayed the information on 'Cloud'. When he found the page to opened it up to see a image of 'Cloud' himself. 'Cloud' had spikey yellow hair and blue eyes like Rali as 'Cloud' showed a stern expression on his face and he was holding a large two-hander sword over his right shoulders. He was wearing black gloves and black clothing which remind Rali of the colour of his own clothing.

He turned his attention to a page full size on information on 'Cloud' with details like his birth date and blood type but Rali wasn't interested in this information where he saw a small paragraph near the bottom. It was a small account written by Cloud detailing a small part of his life.

I defeated Sephiroth and gained my forgiveness from Zack and Aerith. I knew I had friends all round me so I knew I wasn't alone but one thing still makes me wonder in a way.

What should I do next?

I saw how Tifa saw interest in me but one day after growing sick of her staring, I decided to ask her out on a date. I wasn't surprised when she accepted and after that we started seeing more of each other. I continued to do my business but I knew one day that Sephiroth would return but when?

"That's all he wrote" said Rali to himself growing slightly frustrated.

Rali flipped all pages to the back where he discovered a folded A3 piece of paper attached to the book where he unfolded the page and saw an entire family tree of the 'Strife' family detailing from the days of olden times. He soon discovered the name 'Cloud' linked to another named 'Tifa'. He saw three lines trailing down meaning they had three children named 'Sacra', 'Trea' and 'Kerse' and one line trailed down from the name 'Sacra' was something that shocked Rali which was the name 'Rali' was written down at the end of the line going downwards.

Right about the time the black materia was handed to Taro, the other man sitting down, Tannak made his way inside, but was quickly shoved to the side by a burly bald man.

"No weapons in the bar, punk." he muttered to Tannak.

Tannak grasped his hand, clenching it within his own as the man began to cringe.
He released his grip, then shoved the man back into a wall.

Taking an interest in the fumbling of a colorless materia, he asked both men, "My apologies, but, may I have a look at that?"

There was a crash from outside, and a man came flying through the doorway.

Rhen jumped up, grabbing his trple staff weapon. "What's going on?"

Taro's eyes flicked up to view the man he dubbed as an intruder, and the materia disappeared with a fick of Taro's wrist. It was, of course, only only a cheep trick, but he took pride in the fact that he could manipulate people into thinking he had magical powers.

"I'd say no," he said smoothly, "I plan on keeping it for a while."

He stood, glancing at the door and then at the young man he'd recieved the materia from.

Tannak's pupils split in two, indicating that his vision was doing something.

"Please, do you know what that colorless materia is?"

Two men walked in the bar, one with long silver hair and a 7 foot sword, and the other with spikey black hair and two blades wearing a diamond shaped pendant.

Rhen was ready to defend himself at all costs.

"Of course I do," Taro said, fingering the knife at his belt, "I'm not ignorant."

He saw the small group enter the bar, and started heading for the door.

Tannak turned at the sound of two entering people, holding Taro back, and shuddered as the forms of Sephiroth and another young man entered.

He quickly drew False God, glaring down Sephiroth closely.

"Why are you here? Actually, how are you here!?"

Tannak began to recall his battle with Sephiroth back in New Midgar so long ago, the last time they met. Just after a clashing of blades, the False God pierced Sephiroth's chest and pinned him to the ground. After it was inevitable that Sephiroth would live, Tannak ripped his blade from the ripe flesh and made his escape, Sephiroth left for dead.

"Are you here for the materia?" he said, his eyes blinking back into present view.

Darius sat down at the counter on an empty wooden stool with the usual silence in the tavern. He saw the bartender who was bald and wore a white apron head in his direction with his hands washing a glass with a damp rag.

"What can I get you?" asked the bartender friendly recognising Darius as one of his regulars.

"A Beer please" replied Darius placing down a few gil on the bartender to take then a clean glass of frosty beer in front of him.

"So I'm the grandson of Cloud. Just Great" said Rali to himself showing a hit of sacarsm in his tone of voice.

"You can say that again" said a voice to Rali's right in the dark shadow of one of the corners of the room not brightened by the sunlight.

Rali instantly stood up to withdrawn 'Alpha' a modified silver Beretta to aim at a tall figure in the shadow in the corner. The figure held a modified 9mm with a upgraded hammer to increase the range aimed at Rali. Both the figure and Rali aimed their handguns at each other with the grip on their handguns steady.

"Who are you?" said Rali with Alpha still aimed and loaded at the tall figure.

"A friend of Cloud" replied the tall figure who stepped out of the shadows.

The tall figure revealed himself to be a man with long black hair that came down past his shoulders with a cautious expression on his face. He wore a long red coat with a pair of brass metal pointed boots with his 9mm handgun still aimed at Rali's head. The man also had a odd golden clawed left arm which looked a bit sinister.

"The name is Valentine. Vincent Valentine" said the tall black haired figure to Rali.

Tannak knew no fake magics in his time.

He quickly snatched the black materia from Taro, for his own safety, of course, and blasted out the window of the inn out into a plain field.

Before he could mount one of the motorbikes parked outside (Rali's), he was attacked off by Sephiroth's long blade.

He leapt to the side, placing the Black Materia into his pocket and brandishing False God, clashing blades twice with Sephiroth before thrown back onto the ground.

Squirming backward, he pierced his ground into the blade and placed his weight onto it to backflip around it onto his feet, then pull it from the ground and get into a stance.

"You...have grown stronger since our last meet...as expected."

The young man who followed Sephiroth everywhere (Drake) had also drawn a weapon in Sephiroth's defense. Two against one? How fair was that? He was in trouble now, with no escape in sight.

Rali and Vincent stared each other down until they heard noises from the local tavern across the street where the sounds of swords clanging. They both lowered their handguns carefully with Vincent carefully holstering his gun while Rali did the same.

"What was that?" asked Rali to Vincent who looked out of the clear window to look at the tavern from across the alley.

"Sephiroth" replied Vincent who turned his attention to person who resembed Cloud, Rali.

"What?! It can't be?!" shouted Rali who grew angry when he heard the name.

"How did he know where I was?" asked Rali who walked over to stand beside Vincent as they both looked out of the window.

"It could be the one who looks like Zack" replied the mysterious gunslinger known as Vincent Valentine.

"Tannak..." muttered Rali before he headed straight for the red wooden door to open it and walk out into the small wooden corridor then quickly down the metal stairs.

"Where are you going?!" shouted Vincent who ran after Rali who quickly left the apartment in a haste.

Tannak shoved Sephiroth back and slashed his across the shoulder, but leapt to the side as he came back with a counteract pierce. Nimbly dodging the blade, he knocked it downward with his own blade, and then the perfect attack opportunity arose. He brought his blade upward, it seemingly sliding right through Sephiroth's form and sending him flying into a tree.

Tannak began shuddering in pain as his skin and form began glowing a bright silver.

"Damn...mako reaction..."

He fell to one knee, piercing False God into the ground and he held his head in visual distortion.

Vincent caught up Rali who stood in the empty alley on the other side of the cafe beside the tavern. He stared at Rali looking at as if he was a fool trying to an impossible task. Rali only stared at Vincent with a look of distrust because even though Cloud may have trusted him, Rali didn't trust one bit.

"Where are you going?" asked Vincent placing his black gloved hand on Rali's shoulder.

"To confront Sephiroth" replied Rali forcing Vincent's hand off his shoulder after growing more sick of him.

"I afraid I can't let you do that" said Vincent to Rali who had his back to the gunslinger.

"What are you gonna-" said Rali while turning around to face Vincent only to met with a strong blow to the head from Vincent's golden clawed arm causing Rali to black out.

"That's why" said Vincent who seemed to show a bit of a sorry in his tone of voice.

Vincent dragged the unconsious Rali by the collar of his long black coat. He dumped onto Rali's old Shinra patrol bike then he sat down onto himself with Rali's head against his shoulder. Vincent kicked the pedal down to get the engine going then he slowly drove the patrol bike out of the alley.

While Sephiroth slumped down the tree trunk to land on the ground softly. He felt only slight amount of pain from Tannak's counterattack to him. He walked forward to confront Tannak with his long bladed katana held ready but the pressence of something stopped him and made his icy eyes dart to different areas around him.

"Descendant of Cloud..." said Sephiroth under his breath before turning his attention back to Tannak.

Rhen awoke with a start. Where am I? The last thing he remembered was being thrown against a wall by a strange man with silver hair. Damn that hurt... He sat up, finally noticing where he is. He was in a pure white room, and he was covered with white sheets. "Is anyone here?" He noticed his mouth was dry because of lack of water. How long was I out?

Sephiroth turned away from Tannek. "You're wasting my time." He dissapeared in a wave of darkness, appearing high above Vincent. "Meet your demise, wielder of darkness!" He plunged downward, strikming his blade through Vincent.

Vincent looked stunned, but spoke to Rali very calmly. "My purpose here is done. Go..." He literally grabbed the blade that was sticking out of him, and transformed into Chaos. "I'll distract him."

Taro grabbed the black materia back from Tannak while he was helpless, and pocketed it. He beat a hasty retreat before anyone had a chance to stop him.

He had plans for this materia, oh yes, and none of them involved it getting taken.

Rhen yawned, then got up slowly. "Where am I?" He walked towards the door, where a guard was posted. Rhen froze, scared. "Uh...excuse me?"

The guard turned, "Ah, you're awake."

At second glance, she really wouldn't have been much of a guard. She was shorter than him, and wore a silk kimono that reached mid-thigh. Her hair was shining black, and reached nearly to her waist in the front, but the back was pinned up.

Vincent now transformed into the black red eyed demon of great power known as Chaos stared at Sephiroth who only smirked as if he was going to enjoy himself with this little battle with Chaos. Chaos instantly appeared in front of Sephiroth attempting to slash him with one of its deadly clawed arms but he missed hitting only air when Sephiroth appeared instantly behind him going for a stab at Chaos's back. Chaos saw this coming and dodged the stab with all the strength he could muster to avoid the piercing blade.

Rali had heard Vincent's voice and awoke to witness the battle between Sephiroth and a strange black demon. He didn't care after sitting down onto the patrol bike and speeding off onto the road away from the battle. Sephiroth gritted his teeth at the black demon in front of him. He heard the sound of motorcycle engine speeding off to witness Rali driving off on his patrol bike. Chaos tried to use this opportunity to attack Sephiroth with a combination of quick and deadly slashes. Sephiroth turned to see Chaos going in for an attack and he blocked the constant slashes only to disappear again to reappear above Chaos and bring down his long bladed katana slashing down across Chao's winged back.

Chaos shrieked in a pain as he reverted back to Vincent with crimson blood oozing from the deep wound to his back caused to fall onto his side on the stone ground with blood pouring out onto the stone ground of the alley. Sephiroth smirked as he walked to look down at Vincent's angered face.

"Not so Powerful without your friends, are you?" mocked Sephiroth to the wounded gunslinger in front of him.

"Go to Hell, Sephiroth" replied Vincent who could feel light headed from the blood loss from the wound on his back.

Sephiroth smirked once again to lift his long bladed katana to finish off the wounded Vincent with a vicious slash to decapitate his head from his body. Sephiroth lifted the long bladed katana over his head then he forced the katana down at the wounded Vincent. Vincent stared at the katana which bring him instant death so he closed his eyes waiting for his death. But the katana blade only hit the stone ground as Sephiroth stared at where Vincent was but there was no one there even the trail of blood had disappeared. The smirk came off Sephiroth's pale face and he looked at the clear sky.

"You decided to ease his suffering. How Charming" said Sephiroth to the sky as he wanted to take the head of a hated enemy for a trophy.

"His suffering may have ended but yours and the one who resembles the other boy will not end quickly" said Sephiroth to himself as the sick smirk returned as he sheathed his katana looking for the one who resembled the other boy while Drake stood there in silence as he stared at Sephiroth.

Darius had finished his beer then he stood up to walk towards the wooden door to the tavern to open it as sunlight instantly filled the dark and gloomy bar with light from the doorway. Darius was blinded slightly from the sunlight but he walked outside onto the pavement beside the street outside with the door slamming shut behind him. He saw the black haired woman known as Sinvair walking along the street with a worried expression on her face. He rushed over to her as she turned to face him.

Unfortunately the kimono and obi were thick, and concealed most of the curves the girl would've had.

She smiled, sitting down next to him. He noticed two metal fans stashed into the back of her obi.

"The Shiroi mansion, in Wutai," she said, "we're actually in the dorms underground. Welcome to the base of the Shin-Ra rebellion."

"Wait...the rebellion? Wow..." He checked his pockets, finding the red materia was still there. Good...I might need this. He looked up. "Has a small dragon about yey high appeared?" He held his hands up to show the hieght of his friend.

Darius had talked to Sinvair about Rali being missing and they were both concerned. Darius was friends with Rali and Sinvair since a Bar Brawl incident at a local tavern which was shut down later on after the fight was provoked by the bartender refusing to serve his customers. Both of them were in a office which acted as a small outpost stationed near the entrance to the port city. Both of them sat down on a plain blue couch to talk with each other.

"So what happened exactly?" asked Darius wanting to get her side of the story.

"I heard these people talking and one of them was Rali's voice then I heard strange noises from outside" replied Sinvair calmly resting her hands on her knees.

"What kind of strange noises?" asked Darius politey as he wanted to know more of her story.

"Banging Metal" replied Sinvair in one simple reply to Darius who stood up to sit on the edge of the desk in the room.

"We'll find Rali. Don't Worry" said Darius trying to reassure her that they were gonna find him.

"Thank you, Darius" replied Sinvair with a small smile on her face to Darius who only nodded at her.

Rali sped out of the port city of Elen where he drove across an old road he discovered hoping to use so no one would find him especially Sephiroth. He saw that all around the old dirt road that stretched for miles was barren wasteland with no sign of civilisation of plantlife. He soon stopped the bike as it came to a gentle stop and he killed the engine to slide off the bike. Rali walked a few paces across the barren dirt-like wasteland with no sign of the port city of Elen in the distance or any kind of civilisation.

Rali sighed as he felt slightly relaxed now that was alone to think about what happened back between Sephiroth and that strange eerie looking demon who must have been Vincent since he was nowhere around. He thought about it more like how the mysterious gunslinger appeared out of nowhere and then knocked him out and help him all of a sudden.

"Why would he help me? thought Rali to himself as the light winds brushed against his face and blew his hair and long balck coat around.

"Because I would hate to see Cloud's grandson turned into a bloody mess" said a voice from behind him.

Rali quickly turned to face the mysterious gunslinger with a red-like coat around him and a red bandana around his head with his long black hair being blown around by the winds with a small smile on his face. He looked at Rali with no weapon drawn nor any sign of conflict.

"You! How did you read my mind?" shouted Rali to the smiling gunslinger in front of him.

"There are some things you can do when you have met your end" replied Vincent with his right arm in his trouser pocket.

"You died..." replied Rali who felt a bit of guilt for Vincent but Vincent showed no sign of remorse for losing his life.

"Yeah. It could been by Sephiroth but I was given a choice to see my life ended with a gruesome death or ended just like that" replied Vincent still smiling at Rali who was a bit dumbstruck.

"How are still here and who gave you a choice?" asked Rali who seemed confused at why Vincent was here if he was dead.

"I am here because even though I'm dead. I can still appear on this plain of life and give some words of advice" replied Vincent to the confused blonde warrior.

"You could say I'm like a ghost. She gave me a choice" Vincent continued as looked from Rali to stare at a clear blue sky with one or two white clouds floating by.

"Who is 'She'?" asked Rali turning his own attention to the beautiful and calm clear sky above.

"Maybe you'll meet her someday" replied Vincent who turned his attention back to Rali who did the same.

Vincent only smiled one last time at Rali before he turned around and walked away a few paces before his entire body slowly faded away and he was gone with Rali staring at Vincent used to be. Rali felt confused and turned around to the dirt road but in front of him was a small patch of healthy green grass with a few fully grown lillies sprouted from the healthy grass. Rali crouched down to eye level with the white lillies to stare at them then he looked at the peaceful blue sky and at that moment, he felt sure that he saw a vivid image of someone with long brown hair and a smile upon her beautiful face.

Lucidare sat at the head of the heavily modified airship. "We should reach New Midgar in exactly 2 hours, 7 minutes, and 33.1 seconds." He looked down at his hand, which was trembling slightly. Only five of the true Tsviets remained, the rest only weakened expirements with guns, all except one. Ebony. "Only a matter of time..."

Darius was about to reasure Sinvair that Rali was going to be found and was going to be fine until the radio signal from one of the city watchtowers interrupted the conversation between them. Darius removed the radio from his belt and started to hear the communication from one of the guards at the watchtower in a quick conversation until Darius ended the communication from the watchtower guard. Sinvair gave him a interest look about what the communication was about.

"What was it about?" asked Sinvair who sat up and stared at Darius who still sat on the metallic desk.

"The guard reported that a blonde haired person left Elen about 30 minutes ago and left down a far distanced dirt road" replied Darius to Sinvair.

"Rali! Why did he leave?" asked Sinvair wanting to know the reason why Rali would leave the city without telling her.

"I don't know but we'll find out" replied Darius motioning the woman with the crimson eyes to follow to the outside.

Darius opened the office door and stepped outside followed by Sinvair to see a dark green combat jeep used by the guards for the defense of the city. Darius opened the door for Sinvair who stepped into the jeep and sat down on the slightly hard leather chair while Darius closed the metallic door behind her and walked around to the other side to get into the driver's seat. He closed the door behind him to get the engine going then he drove the jeep out of its parking space and drove onto the main road.

Rali examined the white lillies until a strong gust blew some of the petals off the lillies into the direction on Rali's right. He turned his head right to see something bright shine in his eyes. Rali covered his eyes and saw the sunlight on the ground meaning there was something metallic over a distance away and it wasn't his patrol bike when he turned his head to see a dark shape of the motorcycle. He walked towards to the eye blinding object which deflected the sun's rays in his face.

The combat jeep left the port city as it headed down a long highway filled other vechicles. Darius was in quite a hurry as he drove the combat jeep ahead of the other vechicles and he passed by the gaps where the civilian vechicles were driving at a normal speed. The thing that puzzled Sinvair was they were going nowhere near the dirt road where Rali was last seen.

"Where are you going?" said Sinvair wanting to know what Darius was up to.

"We are going to New Wutai" replied Darius turning his head slightly to face Sinvair but he kept most of his attention on the road.

"Why?" asked Sinvair who seemed confused at why they would go to another city.

"The resistance" replied Darius before he stopped the conversation between them.

"Resistance..." muttered Sinvair who seemed even more puzzled as she stared at the dangerous way Darius was driving as her hair was blown around by the speed of the combat jeep.

Rali walked for at least a mile after seeing the strange light that almost blinded him. The heat of sun bearing down causing Rali to sweat slightly from his head. He walked for at least another five minutes before something strange caught his attention. Two strange large swords where jammed in the dirt-like ground with the red-coloured hilts pointing upwards. The large swords looked like Zweihanders but these swords were sharp on one side as the handle resembled that of a 'bastard' sword. The condition of the swords were both slightly rust because of the amount of time they have been here. As Rali walked closer to the large swords, one of them he recognised as the 'Buster Sword' in Cloud's picture in the red book labelled 'Strife'. While the other was different in design and Rali had no idea who used to wield this sword. One thought occured in Rali's mind and it was what were these swords doing here if the old planet was destroyed then how did these swords get here. Did someone find them and bring them here but who? Just thinking about it was giving Rali a throbbing heartache. He stood up in front of the 'Buster Swords' and he stared at a barren wasteland filled with rock landscapes in front him.

"So you found them" said a voice from behind Rali who quickly spun around to face the person who spoke.

"First Class..." he said to himself with a quick smirk. Tannak was forced to believe he was a First Class SOLDIER seeing as how he was dressed and equipped as such. How amusing.

But suddenly he held his head and fell to one knee. Mako infusion had also made it's presence(spell?) known, jabbing his head with a migraine from every direction.

He let out a loud scream of agony, and gripped a nearby tree, slamming his head over and over into it.

Xykru walked by teh old resistance building, the place was trashed. His mind cascaded back in time, to where he and Drake had been here. Feeling a pang of guilt, he quickly moved away, searching for Horus.

Drake looked off into the distance. "Do you mind?" Sephiroth shook his head, and Drake dashed off towards the old resistance base. He had a meeting with his old friend.

Sanviar tried to get the Dragon off her head

"Come on,get off you"

The dragon didn't budge, but hung on for dear life.

Xykru felt a familiar presence. he turned sharply, seeing what he did not believe.
"Drake?" he asked quietly, not sure how he would react to seeing Xykru.

"I will count to 3 if you dont get off then I will drown you!"

she stared counting and walked to a fountain

The dragon blinked again, then flew to her shoulder.

Drake dashed into the base, looking directly at Xykru. "So...I was right. Welcome back." He began to draw his blade, readying a stance.

she looked at the Little Dragon

"What do you want?,you know your very anoyying!"

"I see, warm welcoming." Xykru said, not drawing his blade. He just stared at his old firend, blaming himself for his failure. He had created what Drake now was.

"Why?" whas all he asked, his hands held out wide.

Drake smirked. "Why? Because of the Reunion! It's...Fate, it's our Fate to serve Sephiroth. It was what we were created for! That was why they infused us with Mako!"

The dragon cawed, trying hard to look cute.

"Drake..." He said, knowing he could not get his friend to listen.
"I will not. Reunion? Fate? You speak as if life is predetermined! Can't you hear yourself? what happened to the drake I knew?" he asked, his voice mounting with anger.
"If that is truely what you believe, then there is no reason to live. Why would we be here, why should we exist, if we cannot make our own choices? If fate is predeterimined, then why go on?"

His hands out wide, he thought of one last comment.
"If fate is pre-determined, then it will repeate itself. You and all faithfull to Sephiroth will fall, you will all lose to the lifestream. As surely as those on the old planet did a millenia ago. Is this what you want drake? To leave this planet that once veiwed you a hero? Do you so easily shun those who faught beside you and for you all those years ago?"

Sanviar heart melted,she always had a soft spot for them since she was little

Rali saw nothing but a wide barren wasteland with the light winds sweeping up the barren dirt on the ground. He went back to examine the 'Buster Swords' with interest and he wondered he was that voice which Rali thought didn't sound familiar at all. He walked over to the 'Buster Sword' last used by Cloud even though he wondered why he would abandon his weapon that this was used to fight a powerful enemy like Sephiroth. He pulled out the Buster Sword belonging last to Cloud but what felt odd was the sword seemed kind of light. Rali took a swing with the Buster Sword and it felt like he mastered the skill of using the sword. He removed the other Buster Sword last belonging to Zack from the ground but this Buster Sword felt a bit strange wielded by himself. He strapped both Buster Swords to his back but Rali felt a bit light headed before he dropped onto the dirt ground and passed out.

Darius who was now in New Wutai and he had lost Sinvair when he went to look around for any contacts who could help find the location of the Resistance Headquarters. He cursed himself under his breath before he started looking around but a dark figure on the ground of an alley caught his attention. Darius ran towards the alley to discover that the figure was a passed out Rali by seeing the blonde hair and the kind of clothing he now wore. Darius helped slump Rali onto one of the walls of the alley.

"Hey, Wake up" said Darius lightly taping Rali's cheek to get his blue eyes slowly opening and letting out a faint murmur.

"Darius! Where are we?" said Rali with his eyes fully open and any sign of tiredness vanishing.

"New Wutai" replied Darius helping his friend onto his feet.

Rali felt strange after the event in the barren wasteland and he slowly walked into the busy streets of Wutai with Darius following. The noise of people chatting and cars speeding along the roads was annoying for Rali. Rali walked down the street with Darius following wondering how did he get to New Wutai. Darius was also thinking the same thing but he eyed the strange swords on Rali's back which made him feel curious about them.

Sinviar walked to a restraunt and orders a burger,then gave the foul smeeling meat the Dragon.

It made her feel sick when she saw it snap it up

Then the dragon belched loudly, but it seemed happy.

Drake stared at Xykru. "I...don't know who I am anymore...."

[Xykru]

"Your Drake, teh SOLDEIR who once fought to protect the planet. You went against all you knew, because you knew shinra was going to destroy the planet. Now you are serving sephiroth!"

Xykru took a deep breath, his easy, unarmed posture remaining.

"You know what sephiroth wants right? The same thing he did a millenia ago. To kill the planet and use it as a ship, to rid the cosmos of all life that does not agree with him."

Drake fell to his knees, holding his head. "I don't know...nothing seems real at this time. Nothing seems...possible." He fell, face first, into the hard concrete floor, fainted.

Sinviar laughed at the Dragon then stroked it

He looked to his friend confused.
"If you truely believe Sephiroth is right, Kill me." he said. Truely, he did not mean to Die, but only wished to return Drake to normal.

((Muaha! Xykru is cruel...))

The dragon purred ((sorta...)) and rubbed its neck against Sinvair's head as a sign of appreciation.

Drake suddenly got up, his eyes a different color, almost gold. "W-where am I?"

"Heh wait til Rali see's you,well thats if he ever shows his face"

she sat down on a bench

"Were do you live?,do you have a home?"

"Drake? you are you, right?" He asked, then laughed.
"Neo-kalm, my friend, neo-kalm... wait, do you mean you have been brainwashed all this time?"

Ebony stood straight, accepting the praise and words of expectation without a change in facial expression, "Yes, sir."

she rolled her eyes then got up again

Talon nodded, purring again.

Sinviar ran into the bar,then up the stairs.

She searched her pockets for the door key and quickly opened the door running straight to teh window

It took her a while to open it because it room was in a bad state,but she finally did it fater breaking some of the wood off

Talon flew up, and landed on the windowsill. Hi! He remembered no one could hear him in his mind.

Talon nodded, then flew over a bed. He landed and curled up into a ball, falling asleep promptly.

Sinviar sighed,then looked out of the window

"I wonder.....where Horus is?"

Talon snored slightly, but otherwise he was peacefull and calm.

Darius and Rali walked along the main street in New Wutai but they had to find Sinvair even though they had no idea where she was in this maze of a city. On top of a high glass building was a tall figure that Rali and Darius turned their heads up to the very top of the glass building with the company name 'Fardera' in large red letters on the side of the glass building.

"Who is that?" Darius asked the focused blond warrior who gritted his teeth in anger.

Rali made no reply to Darius.

Rali ran forward across the street narrowly missing several approaching vechicles. The drivers shook their fists at Rali also Darius who ran after him in anger but they both ignored them. Rali and Darius ran into the glass building avoiding the people working there and both of them heading into the elevator. Rali slammed the top floor button down to cause the doors to slide shut and the elevator starting to move upwards. The elevator stopped and the metal reflecting doors opened and Rali walked towards a grey door with a bored-looking doorknob. He held his hand on the doorknob but he saw Darius's hand on his shoulder.

"Are you alright?" asked Darius who seemed concerned for his friend's welfare.

"I'm fine" replied Rali before he turned the doorknob and stepped through onto the roof.

Sanviar heard alot of noise,of people shouting and car horns beeping

"Whats going on?"

Sephiroth's blade remained at the newcomer's neck, but his head turned to Rali. "Why, hello! How are you, decendant of Cloud?''

Tannak stood suddenly, unsheathing False God and attacking pure, thin air.

Suddenly his vision became impaired, and he awoke strapped to a chair surrounded by men in suits.

"Welcome, Tannak. This is the Second Echelon SOLDIER branch." came a voice from the darkness.

Tannak was confused. Wasn't he already a SOLDIER, he thought?

""We've been looking for you for quite a long time now. Your battle with the Sephiroth was a battle that needs data recording and serious research. Now, tell us what you know."

Tannak shook his head. Why was everyone referring to him as "THE Sephiroth"?
Confusion set in and Tannak was left in a conscious state of mind. He wished he could escape somehow, but they had taken his weapon from him...

Rali stared at Sephiroth's green-blue eyes with pure rage as Sephiroth stared at with a smirk on his pale face. Sephiroth turned his attention to the chest nut haired stranger known as Darius. Rali took this opportunity to withdraw Troubled Past but Sephiroth's quick reflexes with his deadly katana knocked it out of Rali's right hand causing to to hit and slide across the ground. Darius moved forward hoping to hit Sephiroth with a strong punch to the face. Sephiroth saw this and sidestepped to knee Darius in the gut and kick him to the ground with a strong forward kick. Rali used the distraction to back away from Sephiroth who turned to a slightly weakened Darius to a furious Rali.

"Stubborn. Your friend is" said Sephiroth as he smirked at Rali once again.

"I see you found the puppet's sword and his friend's sword" Sephiroth lifting his katana up to get ready for a battle.

Rali made no reply only to withdraw both Buster swords strapped to his back and he held Zack's in his left hand while he held Cloud's in his right. He held both Buster swords with a firm but tight grip in both his gloved hands. Sephiroth made the first move with a quick upper slash from his long bladed katana only to have Rali parry with Zack's Buster Sword and counter with a vertical slash from Cloud's. Sephiroth moved his body backwards to avoid the attack from Rali and he smirked at the way Rali fought with two Buster Swords.

"You fight well both swords." said Sephiroth who smirked at the angry Rali.

"Shut up and fight!" shouted Rali growing sick of Sephiroth as the smirk on Sephiroth's face disappeared.

[Endless Light]

Tannak rose his head and looked around, amping his senses to the fullest extent.
He sniffed the ait lightly, then smirked to himself. "So we're in a building in Wutai..."

The darkness spoke once more. "Silence, human. Tell us what you know of the clone."

"The...clone?" Tannak was still confused, and human? Was the person shrouded and unseen NOT a human?

He feared for his life a moment, then took a deep breath and attempted to rip out of the bonds that stuck him to the chair. He failed. He tried once more, to no avail. He was hopeless...
He now knew, his knowledge of the Black Materia would be wasted in death...

Drake looked up. "Sephiroth..." He dashed back to Sephiroth, using his Materia to fly up towards him. "Take this!" He brought his blade down, aiming for Sephiroth.

Sephiroth looked suprised as Drake came from behind, he spun around to block, easily deflecting Drake's blade.

Sinviar picked up the Dragon and placed it in her bag,and ran don stairs,then out of the bar

"Something is wrong!"

Rali seeing Drake attacking Sephiroth confused him but this opportunity to attack with a Limit attack. Rali leaped into the air and held both Buster swords at an X angle and shouting "Flares of Darfera!" as both Buster Sword blades glowed sapphire flames before Rali released a strong sapphire flame attack at Sephiroth who only grinned before casting a sphere-like shield around himself and the flame attack exploding off the shield leaving Sephiroth with no damage to him.

"Come on, you can do better" Sephiroth mocked the slightly surprised blond warrior.

Rali dropped to the ground and charged at Sephiroth as they exchanged slashes to each other but every attack was blocked by the other as sparks flew and the swords clanging was heard. Finally a test of strength ensued as both warrior had their weapons jammed together.
