Kingdom Hearts 2: FM+ "Expected" to Come out in North America?

I'm a little excited about hearing this. Let's hope it's true.

In their most recent issue, PSM listed their favorite games of 2006. Kingdom Hearts 2 appeared as number seven on the list (hoorah!) and PSM included a little surprise in the magazine.

"Get set for more Kingdom Hearts... and we're not talking KH3. Square-Enix is taking their Game Boy Advance game, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, beefing it up, and bringing it to the PS2 in full 3-D. It will be included with a special "Final Mix+" of Kingdom Hearts II, and is expected to come Stateside, though no date is announced."

yess i think that ill be saving up for ever then
i have $1200 for the ps3 and then kh3 cause i plan to get the ps3 when kh3 comes out, if it comes out for ps3. i think my parents might but the ps3 for me though, if i have good grades. =p
if kh2:fm+ comes out for ps2 in the us ill go crazy...

That's not a rumour. It's kinda old, actually. We just don't yet know if it's coming to North America but it definately looks more than likely.

I honestly cant see why it wont be on Playstation 2. Were talking about a game where most of its graphics are based on Cartoons. You dont need big PS3 processing power to do that. And the FMV on PS2 is fine as it is. It showed Sunset Horizons fairly well, didnt it?

The problem is that the PlayStation 2 will be more than likely out of production/dead by the time the game would have time to undergo full development. That's what happened with Star Fox 2 for the SNES; it was almost complete but people were moving on to the fancy new Nintendo 64, so it got cancelled.

yeah, PS2 will be nine years old by then. Besides, God of War 2 is supposed to be the last AAA title on the PS2,coming in 2007. And it is only supposed to see major development for another year or so.

there is a lot of debate over power this and power that and yeah it doesnt' seem like such a big deal now, but once these consoles are in full swing that will probably be the deciding factor. That is why the Gamecube was dead after four or five years compared to the ps2 and the xbox, it was just lacking.

sure the cutscenes on the ps2 looked great when it was in its CGI greatness, but i want the gameplay to look like that... 100% of the game i want to look as smooth as absolutely positive.. i highly doubt square enix will be dumb enough to only put this on wii and ps2..

Well PS2 is way out the window. lol. And wii....not much more advanced than the pS2. this is why Xbox 360 games and sony only jump platforms between each other, Wii cannot handle the power of either console. Take Assasins Creed for instance, Was once a 360 exclusive-made the jump to multiplatform, but not to the wii because it can't handle it. I can name about 50 games that did this...

i imagine the elder scrolls iv is going to look amazing on ps3 when that comes out soon... the whole kh3 game is going to blow us away, i can feel it.. i've watched trailers for the new ff games coming out this year and next year and they look great

Ah, so you havent heard...

Elder Scrolls Oblivion is not having anything exclusive to the PS3, blah. The upgrades are only time-exclusive to the ESO release date for PS3, but are available on all consoles. the graphics may be slightly better, though, but not by much. I hate news like that...

yeah it sucks but thats the way the corpirate world works just wait they come with something better in acouple of months or a year I beleive its called money making

well i know oblivion came out for 360 last year, but it's gonna be on the ps3 here pretty soon.. it was supposed to be a launch title, but got pushed back.. i was hoping that they were tweaking it up a bit.. i thought they were putting on some expanions for the ps3 version.. maybe not then

Oh yeah there are extra goodies, but not exclusive to Ps3, which is what they at first said. it made a lot of people pretty mad...

maybe KH3 will a little like FF8 where the sene we see at the end of KH2 is in the past and sora is looking back in time. or his father was the first key blades chosen one.

that's an okay theory but don't get too excited... it's been said a bunch on here that people think sora's dad is supposed to be in it.. i think the idea of introducing parents is lame, but it's not my decision

the end of FF8 wasnt in the past, it was in the present/future. Besides which ending are you talking about? Before or after the credits?

Anyway, uhhh, that could work i guess. but i don't think they are going to introduce his parents, it adds too much realism to the story.

ah thank you squaresiking... you always seem to be in my corner.. the whole idea of sora's parents being in it, or sora and kairi having a child just completely takes away from the whole fantasy part of the story.. i'd much rather watch scenes of sora slicing down enemies rather than changing diapers..

LOl, yeah we always seem to be on the same side regarding the essence aspect of Kingdom Hearts, which is a good thing. And Sora having a child with Kairi, don't even get me started. That would blow the whole thing out of the water.

i've been seeing that theory wayyyy too much... it keeps popping up around these threads.. "maybe sora and kairi have a son but sora goes evil so his son has to kill him"... come on, are you serious?? that would be the worst storyline ever.

it worked for star wars, we could have another "i am your father" kinda thing happening, but it would still be pretty crap.
yeah, i dont think there will be any creating of children happening during the games.

ah, no rips off of star wars... the guys at SE are way too creative.. they'll come up with something if they haven't already... i can't see the possiblity of it being a family affair though... there are too many characters they can use

cmon, lucas is close to genius, but ripoffs would make the game a bit cheap. yeah, bringing families into it too majorly wouldnt be a good idea.
