Staff Ideas

If this has been posted before I give appologies, however I have a few ideas for new kind's of staff positions.

Positions IN mind:
-Gamers
-Poets
-Greeters
-Filmers

Explanation and Definitions of Positions:

Gamers: Members who regulate Rpg's, and Forum games. I've noticed that in both those forums there is little control and if these are chosen as staff members they should have experience in those 2 forums. Like a person who has never been in a Rpg and experience in the Game section wouldn't be correct for the position. They should send in an example of an Rpg or Game they have participated in or Created.

Poets: Members that write poetry and stories for those who ask for them, or anything of that nature. They should have experience in writing poetry and stories and should show an example of their work.

Greeters: People who focus attention on the Introduction forum where they can explain the rules, say hello, and show that all members on the forum are family. Those who try to become greeters should be kind and know how to set a good example.


Fimers : Those who are filmers should have experience in making movies on the computer. If people ask for advise they should have some knowledge on ALL types of Movie software. they will need to submit some examples of movies that they have created.

Well those are my ideas and if you have a comment please dont hesitate!:D

I actually don't mind the ideas behind the Gamers and Greeters groups. I don't necessarily want to bestow many powers, so to speak. If I find a good way to implement something like that, I will certainly do so. As I have mentioned in a previous post, I am planning on an Entertainment Team which will mostly focus on the Events initiative, in a similar fashion to the Design Team.

Well the Poets and The filmakers were just "spam" in my mind, and the other ones were actually what I thought would I thought we be either selected or put into consideration.

I would acually like to participate in the gamers one, rpging is one of my favorite things to do on this forum besides talking about kingdomhearts so its very interesting

Well "gamers" in general were my favorite one , because I focus mainly on the Game, Rpg, Family, and Artwork forums. Usually on occasion I'll travel away from it. So Gamer really was something I wanted to do.

We don't need a Gamer job though. We focus on Kingdom Hearts and Square games.

Although we talk about other game it's not nessicary to have a gamer postition.

The introduction team is a good idea. That's about all I see that we should have. Even though everyone greets newcomers anyway..

Well like DragoonKain said he wanted an entertainment team so maybe that'd be a field in it? Well since those forums are my favorites I'd hope I'd be selected and could help decide who else is on it I coud tell who'd be on it already though!

I think you missed understood the GAMER concept ((kota)). I do not refer to Video games I am refering to Rpg and Forum Games.

Well heres the thing the gamer idea is in referance to the entertainment team and in a way the whole thing sounds good. I don't want power! It's just that mods and admins have to do so much stuff more staff could really save them alot.

They're mods. If they wanted out they wouldn't do it.

Every single staff member is a pro at what they do. They know the rules, know how to re-act to things that interfere with the forums.

I know your just trying to help, but these positions won't help much or at all. The mod are doing fine. The forums inactivity is just because people are getting bored. The news isn't coming as much as it was. This forum and the .net site will flourish when the next Kingdom Hearts game comes out. Just have to be patient ;)

Now this has actually got me thinking.

Riku-Sora is a mod in charge of the Design Team.
I have plans to go through the games thread and revive some of the older, fun ones. I wouldn't mind bringing it up to the staff to take on a team under me in much the same way and to do something similar with the RPG's would be fantastic.

I like this Idea. The RPG section often recieves many spammers, who spout random things that have nothing to do with the thread, and continue to do so against the thread owners wishes.
The greeters, too, is a pretty good Idea.

Greeters wouldn't get any new powers or titles, they would simply be something more like a committee. The RPG team would likely have a couple minor localized powers. Neither of these teams would be likely to have any changed titles or colored names. I'm not even sure about access to the Staff forums. They would function a bit more like a club than actual staff. The same goes for the Entertainment team.

Its true RGP's do get alot of spamming.Its also anoyying when people dont use simple things like (" ") when there talking,a few mistakes are okey,but say a whole sentence,then with some action can get very confusing for other RGPers to read

I am still strongly debating about the RPG team. Giving people powers who aren't mods is something I have been avoiding, although I was going to go ahead and give the Design Team some powers over their own subforum (the Artwork section) during the May Updates. The good argument for the RPG team is that for right now it's almost completely moderator-free. My mods will enforce very important things, but I can't ask them to constantly read the RPG section.

For the other proposed teams, nobody will have any powers that they didn't have before. As I said, they are something more akin to clubs. People enjoy feeling like they are a part of something, and that's why I think these clubs are a good idea. It gives people the ability to participate in running the forum, even if they aren't officially on the Forum Staff list.

It will be the topic of the next staff meeting where I iron out what will and won't be in the May updates.

Eheheh, I'll be choosing the members. Or well, me indirectly perhaps. We haven't held the staff meeting yet, but it's likely that I will put a staff member in charge of a particular group, similar to how Riku-Sora is in charge of the Design Team. Of course if I disagree with a staff member's decision, I quickly overrule them, but for all intents and purposes, they are in charge of their little teams.

It's a good thing I read the entire thread.. otherwise I'd have been repeating you lol. I love this! I've seen it around other places and it's so much fun to be involved in. The best part is writing articles on the "hot happenings" of the month before, designing the front cover.. Oh, and getting gifts if your birthday is in that particular month! :D I bet this would be great on here.. good thinking DestinyHolder.
