So although it's not confirmed, the "English Fans" are creating high demand for a third game, including us :)

Being a Final Fantasy fan, and general RPG player of all types, I'm not bothered either way lol. If it's a prequel, I'll be pleased because Nomura is showing the history behind Kingdom Hearts, and there's so much of it! If it's a sequel, just as good, as that shows the future of the Final Fantasy characters and Sora and the gang, even if Sora's not playable. I usually play RPG's for the storyline and the gameplay, and with Kingdom Hearts the way it is, I think whoever the main character is, the gameplay will still be brilliant. :)

The thing about Final Fantasy is that every one was a different storyline. As Kingdom Hearts has a continuous storyline I doubt it could go beyond about 5 or 6 games.

I dont think its in the future. It is in the past and those three people i have no idea who they are. The one in the middle is the one who probably killed the original xemnas during the keyblade war. In the letter sora kairi and riku got i herd that king mickey was informing them that xemnas remembers who he really was. He was a keyblade master and he is coming back if possably a kh 4. That would explain how xemnas was one of ansems partners. I also hope it turns out alot of versios because i think there is alot of kh missing.

Nothing wrong with that except for the fact that Xemnas was destroyed in KH2, and Xehanort was destroyed in KH1. So whatever was in that letter can't be Xemnas remembering as he doesn't exist by that stage. Also Xehanort was Ansem's apprentice, which mean Ansem chose him.

I think that the game will be set in the future with flashbacks to the past including Sunset Horizons (about the 17th time I've said that on this site).

Nomura said that the three knights would not be Sora, Kairi and Riku during the interview. But the thing is we dont know how to game goes. There are too much possibilities to consider. But still, I'm certain that Kingdom Hearts fans would buy it even though it's a prequel- such as in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth in PSP, and Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria in PS2. I have to say that the game is quite nice although it took part a few hundred years before first VP game. So, probably Square would create Kingdom Hearts III quite similiar to Valkyrie Profile. I highly recommend Valkryie Profile 2:Silmeria for those that wants to experience how a prequel game goes.

You're right. As long as our favorite characters are in the game, it doesn't matter who's the main character like in kh2. Roxas was the main character in the beginning and playing as him was awesome but later on we got to play as Sora. The game still rocked even though there were two main characters.

Wha? Where the heck did you get this is in the future? Nomura said that the bit with the Chaser-thingies was "in the past, but the future at the same time". So, by that, I'm sure he means that it has happened, it's going to happen again (the future does not mean 3000 million years, it can mean a day), and/or it's happening/happened in another universe.

I actually think that, the one guy we see without the helmat, is Sora's great-great-great-great grandfather or something like that. He looks kind of like him, but not quite.

yeah that would be a very weird thing to do, its going to be strongly associated with sora, but you still might not play as him (this is unliekely though).

okay i read over all the threads for the subject :D and what i kept thinking of was the picture of the 3 chasers that riku put up and not to sound random of anything but wasn't their clothes a bit odd? maby they and the war came from a diffrent world 'cuz we all know from the game that there are keyblades on diffrent worlds and (of course) their are other people on worlds and kairi also demonstrated in the 2nd game that other people can wield keyblades to. so maby the "keyblade war" was what happend on their world, also at the end of the first game alot more "stares" shot out than we went to so maby this "world" is one of those unknown worlds and that might be the tie to the characters. just an idea

nothing about this game is concrete. i mean, production doesn't start until this year, and we all know the game won't be out for a few more. they could have just thrown that trailer on there to peak our interests. when we have the idea that they could be making a third, of course, that's what's gonna be on our minds. it's on mine, at least. it's hard to disagree that the 3 main characters will be in the game, playable or not. they do receive the letter from the king...

Well I've been checking every once in a while online to see if there is any new information on a possible KH3. There is. I dont have a link but I found a translated interview with the creator of the game where they were mainly talking about KH2: Final Mix but he also answered some other questions. He was asked if there would be a third game. He stated that he could not say much now but that they (Square Enix) were talking with disney right now and that both have decided to "carry on kingdom hearts with a new project" ??????? interesting, eh?

I too had heard that KH111 would not have Sora and the gang as the main characters, this is sooo not cool!! As a big fan of both KH & FF I must say I hope that Square don't try to make KH like FF! KH Is Sora's story and I hope that they don't think that the new game will sell simply because it has keyblades and the title Kingdom Hearts. I had reserved my copy of KH2 and got it the day it came out. But for KH111 at this point, I think I will wait until I know for sure that it is going to remain Sora's story before I buy it.
As far as the movie, well it seems obvious that if, and I hope it's true, there is one, Disney will make it. There would be too many copyright legalities involved with the Disney characters otherwise. I think it should be a movie from the original game on, that would be cool.

Don't know, remember these are rumurs. It would pretty cool. It would probably take less time to do a Kingdom hearts movie then making the game. But, this is all speculation. If Disney and Square did decide to do the movie, then the question would be, would they go to the big screen or DVD with it?

i think that kingdom hearts 3 is gonna be like chain of memories. its prolly not even gonna be called kingdom hearts 3, but something that has to do with the history of the keyblade and the past weilders. since nomura or whatever his name was said it was sora's story, im sure the series will end with him in it, so no worries =P

Eh? COM was a completely different game in its own rights, not a sequel persay, so if there was a third installment in the series it would of course be called Kingdom Hearts 3.

i think he was only wearing the cape to hide his identity, it was probly one of nomura's tricks to make it identical to the ones of org.XIII to confuse us fans.

those coats arent hand made or anything, he probly has a wardrobe the size of a football feild, so he may have already had one. i think the coat wasnt really important, it was really confusing right at the end of the secret movie, i think that was the whole point of him wearing it.
