literature/poetry group thingies

I had an idea, we should create a literature/poetry team, kinda like the graphics team or whatever, and people that are good in literature/poetry must also be good in rpging, sooooo ya.....tell me your thoughts ;).

If the team system goes well I'll put this on the list of things to consider. It is AWFULLY close to the RPG team... as I think the same people who participate in RPing are probably the most likely to participate in literature as well. We'll see though.

It's a great idea. But dragoonkain is right. People who are interested in rpg's will probably be the ones joining it. But I would love to! I'm an author in the making and my poems are pretty good too. :D

For you folks in favor of it, what exactly would being on a team buy you that simply posting in the currently existing literature section wouldn't? I wonder if there is actually any added benefit to it being a team, since most works of literature are done an individual basis anyway. The only need I would see for it would be for something like the RPG team's organization team. Even that could be done voluntarily without the need for a sanctioned team. What are your thoughts?

If we're going to do that, why not just merge the two ideas (RPG team and Other Lit Team)? :\ Maybe something called the Literature Team.

There's nothing saying it has to be a team...I mean just a thread made specifically for poems would be great. Problem is if people put things other than poems in the thread it would become sloppy/crowded. Now a RPG team is a good idea. I used to do a lot of online roleplaying.

The Fanfic / Literature section allows for poems of any type. I don't think a single thread for them is a very good idea, as it would become crowded with commentary. Instead, authors or individual poems should get their own threads.
