In a recent interview, Tetsuya Nomura let slip a few details about the next game in the Kingdom Hearts series. While details about this new project are few and should be viewed skeptically, Nomura did state that it is not Kingdom Hearts III. It is, instead, a side-story to Sora's tale.



Part of the focus of this new story, Nomura stated, will be the events that led to Mickey possessing a keyblade, and what took place in the World of Darkness. Nomura also wants to focus on developing the character of Roxas.

we Asked if Sora and Riku would make an appearance in the new game, he said with a laugh, "I can't say." He also hinted that the new game would have something to do with Xehanort, the main villain of the Kingdom Hearts series



Concerning platform, Nomura mentioned the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo DS, and cell phones. He also pointed out that the official announcement had not yet occurred, but that it might come in the near future.

Playstation Portable, the Nintendo DS, and cell phones? What the hell? I have a PSP but why would you want to put such an important installment on a handheld? I believe the first part of this new series deserves the PS3.

theres also info on whether or not there gonna put kingdom hearts on super smash bros. i personaly think they should .it would be kool seeing sora with his keyblade in there whacking a kirby.hahahah lol

Nah, Kingdom Hearts should stay out of games like that, its too legendary. lol.

it would be pretty cool wit sora and his keyblades and his special on there could be when hes closing a keyhole and he knocks his enemy off stage
