The lone soldier

This was a quick english assignment which turned into a 3 hour KH story. Please can you tell me what you think of it. If its positive i'll do some more chapters

Chapter 1
I Stand Alone
The young soldier woke up. He looked around to see where he was, but he didn’t know where that was.
He rubbed his face and stod up and then he than had another look around, hundreds of nobodies had suddenly surrounded him. He started to run, but they followed. He knew he would have to face them. He spun around to face them and pulled out his sword, he started crashing his sword down on the white enemies. But his efforts were useless. When one nobody was destroyed, another would take its place.
He fell to his knees gasping for air.

“Why are to chasing me” whispered the soldier

The nobodies stopped and a black figure came forth.

“Because,” said the hooded figure, “You are special. You are here so you are one of us. We are nobodies so we have no heart. But you, you are angry, you are tired so you do have a heart. So how is this possible”

“But your wrong.”

“No, you’re different.”

“Who are you” asked the soldier

“I’m apart of the organization, I am the thirteenth member,” The hooded man took off his hood, “Roxas.”

“Join me, we need you.”

“Never, I stand alone.”

“Interesting, you are dependent. You are special. Oh well. You’re coming back with me one way or another you’re coming with me.”

But before the Roxas order the nobodies to do anything, thousand of heartless appeared and destroyed the nobodies and they faded into a dark mist. Another figure appeared out of the darkness.

“Siax, what are you doing here. He’s mine.” Demanded Roxas

“This is taking too much time, we need him now.” Replied Siax

“Alright, I’ll bring him now. Just let me and Axel bring him in.”

“Axel? He’s a rogue member. I knew it. You’re in alliance with…”

But before Siax could finish, Roxas attacked him and knocked him out. The soldier had to shield his eyes froma huge flash of light. When he turned Roxas was gone. He knew he couldn’t stay so he stabbed his sword into the ground and darkness flooded over him. A city formed around him. Where am I?

Chapter 2
Darkness has a being

A shadowy figure tapped him on the shoulder. The soldier jumped back and relised it was Xemnas. He wasn’t sure how he knew him or even if that was his actual name, he just seamed to remember him from somewhere.
“W-W-Where am I?” asked the young soldier.

“The world that never was. You are home. I know you can’t remember me and you can’t even remember yourself but let me reassure you that we were close when we did know each other. Do you remember our last conversation?”

This one might be a little confusing, this is when him remembeing the last confersation he had with Xemnas

Chapter 3
Remembrance
One month ago

Xemnas approached the soldier.

“Well Nexol, have you found Axel.”

“Not yet, but I believe Roxas knows where he is.”

“Yes about Roxas, He has never met you yet has he? And if your right, then Roxas and Axel both want you for an experiment.”

“What!?” exclamedd Roxas

“He has told me that you are the key to kingdom hearts.”

“Why me, why of all people, me.?”

“You are the nobody with a heart, but you are not whole nor a heartless. You are different. And we believe it’s your heart that Roxas and Axel are going to use for their own personal gain.”

“So what do you want me to do?”

“Nothing.” Xemnas then knocked him out and then he was surrounded by darkness.

Chapter 4
Xemnas is his name

“Well, do you?” asked Xemnas

“Why do you call me Nexol?”

“Wha... Oh yes, it is your nobody name, but that is not important. What is important is, do you remember”

“Yes, I do.” Replied the soldier

"So then, where is poor Roxas?"

“He disappeared”

Xemnas then instantly went furious and slashed the soldier over the face. He fell to his knees gasping for air. The lovely radiance of Kingdom Hearts restored his power. He crawled to this window. His sword pulled him up. "He escaped sir."

"Yet again you fail me" said Xemnas relaxed; Nexol wondered how he could stay calm at a time like this, when one of the most important members of the organization has fled with a rogue member in search of a ‘nobodies heart’. He couldn't believe all his plans to join the organization had fallen apart so quickly. "Leave this world and never return."

"But..."

"I said leave" he shouted. A portal opened below him, he could feel the cold darkness seeping up pulling his entire body under. He fell, nothingness all around him.

Then he felt someone shaking him.

Chapter 5
Your true name

“Are you all right?” said a strangely high voice.

“Y-yeh, I think so. Where am I? Who are you?” asked Nexol

“Well my dear friend. You are in the Disney Castle and I am King Mickey, Ruler of the Disney Castle. And who may you be?” asked the King.

Nexol stod up and cleared his eyes, he relised he was in a giant white castle. He then looked down to see a person about half the size of him with giant round ears.

“I am, well I guess I was the 14th member of the organization, Nexol.”

“The organization? Nexol? That sounds familia… Wait, Nexol, you are a nobody! I’ve heard about things like you.”

“What do you mean thing?! I am a being like you! Not a thing!”

“Ok, ok sorry. You are a being. But you are also a nobody. And if ‘Nexol’ is your a nobody name then what is your true name?”

“My true name? It is Nexol.”

“No, I know Nexol is the name you gave yourself but I mean your name before you became a nobody, your real name.

“Nexol IS my real name.”

“Yes Nexol is your real name. What I meant is, do you remember your first true name. Here this room might help.”

The king took Nexol over to his throne. He then let out a burst of light and the whole platform moved to one side. He then showed Nexol down into the secret passageway where it lead to a room of light. With hundreds of thousands of weapons laying in rows around a giant glass orb of light.

“What is this place? Why are there so many weapons lying around this room?”

“This is where we put the weapons of those whose hearts have been captured by the darkness, the heartless. There weapons, for some reason, the persons weapon has a unique bond to the persons heart. I believe that your weapon is here.”

Nexol walked into the middle of the room. “So you think that my heart was captured by the darkness?”

“Precisely, so please choose a weapon. And that weapon you choose might make you remember you past.”

“How will I know which weapon to choose, there are so many. What if I pick the wrong one.”

“There is no wrong path you can choose. Just a poorly chosen one.”

“Oh, that’s encouraging.” Nexol walked around all the weapons, taking hours just looking at them. Then he stopped at one, a giant sword with a gun handle. He picked it up.

“Well, do you remember anything?” enquired the King

“Yes. I remember my true name. My true name, it is, it is Leon.”

Chapter 6
The book of hearts

“Oh my, Leon! This is fantastic!” exclaimed the king

“What is? What’s so ‘fantastic’ about me being Leon?” asked Nexol

“Let me show you who you are and what you have done in your life.” The king walked over to the giant glass orb. He then summoned a blade which, to Nexol, resembled a giant golden key.

“Do you know what this is, Leon.”

“It looks like that weapon that Roxas was using when I last saw him but yours isn’t as cool, and please, call me Nexol.”

“Um, ok. Well, this is called a keyblade. It has a great and powerful potential. It has the power to bring worlds to peace or bring chaos to it. But, it also has the power to unlock anything, even hearts. Let me show how powerful it is. Leo.., I mean Nexol. Can you destroy this orb for me, please.

Nexol hesitated a bit. “But why?”

“Just do it, please.”

Nexol shrugged then pulled out his gun-like blade. He charged at the orb and struck it with enormous force but there wasn’t even a scratch on it. Nexol was bewildered by the outcome of his attack, he looked down at his blade and gasped, the entire blade had shattered in the attack. He became furious with the king for making him doing it. “What good came from making me destroying my own sword?!”

“Its ok, I’ll fix it” The king shot a beam out of his keyblade which hit Nexol’s blades. When Nexol looked at his blade again it was whole.

“Now watch this.” Commanded the king. He shot another beam out of his blade again which hit the orb, it shattered instantly and floating book appeared in the middle of where the orb once was. He took the book and put it on the ground. The king went over to fix the orb and Nexol came over to look at the book, he opened it and on the first page were the words in large golden writing, ‘SQUALL LEONHEART’.

“What is this book?”

“Well, this book is called the book of hearts. It is like an journal to everyone’s and things hearts that has ever existed. This book will give you information of where they are, and what they have done no matter where they are in all the worlds. As long as there is a shimmer of light in the heart they will show up in this book.”

“But this book is so thin, who could so much information from so many hearts fit into this book?’

“Oh, that’s simple. You just think of the being and if the thing has a heart with a bit of light in it, it will be on the first page."

Nexol looked at the book unsure, not knowing if it was a trick or not. "Who or what is Squall Leonheart?” asked Nexol

“HE, my good friend, is your whole being.”

Chapter 7
Who is Squall

Nexol jumped back in alarm, dropping the book. “My WHOLE being! What do you mean? I am whole; this is my being, who is this Squall Leonheart?”

The king walked over to Nexol. “He prefers to be called Leon now. And if you read more in the book it says he wields a weapon known as the gunblade, a giant blade which is a combination of a sword and pistol. He was a student at a prestigious military academy for elite soldiers known as ‘SeeDs’. And about him being your whole being, well, read the last few entries in the book.”

Nexol picked up the book again a flicked to the last pages. “It says he traveled to a world called Radiant Gardens, he spent many years there and befriended many. He was becoming happier and friendlier, but when the heartless attacked it all changed. He lost many of his closest friends to the darkness like Cloud Strife.” Nexol stopped and looked up at the king. “I know him; he was a soldier who had a giant sword.”

The king nodded. “Yes he was, but just so you know he is fine, he is at a world that has the Olympus Coliseum. So please keep reading.”

Nexol looked happier after the king said that. “Thanks for telling me that, well, during the battle it says that he was ambushed and was turned into darkness. But when he was turned into darkness, for some unknown reason, a heartless wasn’t made but a nobody was. And before his heart was consumed by darkness his nobody absorbed it, which made the first ever nobody with a heart. Wow, so that is who I was created.”

The king nodded “Yes it was, but we mustn’t live in the past but live for the present, so now we must plan for the future.”

Chapter 8
A plan in motion

“Plan for the future? What do you have in mind?” asked Nexol smirking as he spoke.

“First follow me up to my ship,” The pair started to leave the room of light, “you know Roxas don’t you?” said the king.

The smile went away from Nexol’s face as the king said his name. Remembering what he and the organization had tried to do to him was unbearably painful. “Yes, he and Axel tried to kidnap me and use me for their own selfish purposes, but you already know about that.”

The king nodded “Yes I do but forget about that and think for the future. You know that Roxas has a keyblade,” Nexol nodded, “Well, his keyblade is called the Oblivion and it has the power to release hearts, like most keyblades but unlike most keyblades it has the power to control or destroy them as well. But my keyblade specializes in returning hearts to their true place and form.”

They turned a corner. “I think I know where you’re going with this but isn’t my heart in its true place, seeing as I’m really Leon and this is his heart. Doesn’t that mean it’s in the right spot?”

The pair started to walk down a flight of stairs. “I think I know what you’re thinking and yes, Leon’s heart is in it’s true place but not in it’s true form. You see when you absorbed his heart you absorbed it through force, forcing it to be apart of you. But in fact, for it to be in its true form you would have to release it from yourself and letting it willingly be apart of you.”

Nexol looked around the garden they had just walked into, looking around trying to absorb all this information. “Sooooo… you want me to, die.”

The king rapidly shook his head. “No, no, no, what I want to do is find Roxas, make him release it and let me put it into place. You see it will all be fine, and most importantly, you won’t die.”

“That’s good,” Nexol looked around again, he noticed that they had left the garden and walked into an airport, “why are we here?”

The king pointed to a ship, “See that ship there, it is the tacki ship, it is like my other ship the gummi ship but is a lot faster. And we need to find Roxas fast. So are you coming with me to find Roxas?”

Nexol looked at the king like he was a toddler “Hell yeh!!”
