Will there be the KH CoM2?

Well we have Re:Com witch is the closest we'll get most likely. If they put it in the next game, that would be nice, but highly unlikely.

I agree. Sora already went through the chain of memories stage. It would have to be named something else and there would have to be a whole different story to it.

You mean like a side-story in between Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts III? Possibly....but it really depends on what they make Kingdom Hearts III to be like. Kingdom Hearts II needed Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories in order to make things fall into place, and everything make sense. Depending on if they start Sora off right from where they left off at Destiny Islands or not, determines whether or not there will be another in between game. I'm guessing there will not be one. Also, don't get this mixed up with the 'new series' there is barely a connection between the original series and the 'new series' and there most likely will not be a tie-in games.

a COM2 is mostlikely not possible, because what took place in that game is no longer possible without Namine there.
A side story is possible however.

Were they not thinking of making a side game focusing on Roxas and Micky. I think they will do another side game at any rate for the DS unless they just make a handheld version of KH3 or whatever they're calling it.

I think they should do a new handheld game based on Riku, sort of like the Reverse/Rebirth in COM.

They could make it all about what Riku did while he was working for Ansem the Wise, and other little bits Riku did, whatever

It is possible that they will make another GBA game for KH, but it will most likely not be Chain of Memories. Now that Namine has not intent on rearranging Sora's chain of memories, they would have to introduce a new character, a new ability by an Org. XIII member, or a catachlysmic event to break the chain.

But that's just my feeble opinion. Square Enix is unpredictable at times...

A new CoM title wouldn't make sense, because the Cards are no loonger needed now that Sora and Roxas are one and Riku is out of Castle Oblivion. Perhaps they could make a side game depicting Riku's journeys as he was working for Ansem the Wise.

Not really...Birth By Sleep is suppose to be a pretty big game since it explores Apprentice Xehanort's past and I think we need to know his past story before playing KH3 -cause I think Apprentice Xehanort yet again will be the main antagonist of the game.

There is no conformation that BBS has anything to do with Apprentice Xehanort. You can only assume that if you believe that Terra will become Xehanort.

As for the card system, Nomura and the other designers said that they started with a variation of the card system when they first began making the game, but it has since evolved and become something completely new. From the screenshots and videos you can guess that instead of a "deck" to customize, you will actually customize the command menu based on what you want to do in battle. And in that you will have a variety of different combo attacks and magic, as well as items.
