So there I was in the final battle with the organization XIII members, and I decided(had to) change to form, and what do I get, the shadow. I mean of course I died there really was nothing else I could do right?;)

Actually, The Anti form depends on a point system. Points are accumulated by using the forms, I think 1 point for Valor or Wisdom, 2 for Master form, -5 for Anti form, and clears points to 0 whenever Final Form is used. The more points you have, the more likely it is that Anti form will show up (I think the base number for the form appearing is 10 points). I think those're the right numbers. It's actually a very cool system when you know how it works.

Oh.
I forgot about the point system.

It just doesn't make sense, you have to fight in your forms to level them up the same way you have to fight as Sora(just Sora). Yet it seems like we are being punished for using the forms. If ya know what I mean.-Sarahphina;)

No, I don't know. Are you saying the Anti form point system is like a way to punish you for usin g the forms? If so, I think that it is a reasonab le way to keep from using forms too consistently, or in an unbalanced way. After you get Final Form (which I hate using, and you get it randomly the first time), the system actually turns to your advantage.

Anyway, I hated it too. I kept getting it on the same Organization fight nomatter what I did. (before I got final form. Did I mention I hate using Final Form? It looks bad, it's hard to control, it's really hard to level up... the list just goes on and on...)

I can kinda see what your moaning about..
The Anti form isnt that great

But it has long asssss combos which keep the enemies occcupied in the air or ground which is good

It only really gets annoying when your trying to level up forms and you come across anti once in awhile, apart from that its a pretty good form I think

AntiForm Singlehandedly won the battle against, I think it was Xigbar...The Sniper member. It was rather fun, really. All of his heath bars were reduced to only 1, and one combo after coming out of it, one Combo beat him =P

Just to reiterate what JET73L put more accurately:

There actually is a pattern/probability of changing into Anti-form. There are these things that you cant see called Anti-points. Whenever you go into Valor, Wisdom, or Master forms, your Anti-points go up by one (+1). If you change form while an ally is unconcious, the points do nothing (+0, -0) When you change into Final form, the Anti-points go down by ten(-10). Whenever you actually go into Anti-Form, they drop by four (-4). Also, when you aquire a new form, the points reset themselves. So basically, the more Anti-points you have, the more of a chance there is that you will go into Anti Form. If you have 0-4 Anti-points, there is a 0% chance of changing. If you have 5-9 points, there is a 10% chance. If you have 10 or more, then there is a 25% chance. That though is not the only thing that affects the change rate. During a normal fight, the percent is x1. During most scripted battles, the chance is x2. During fights with Organization XIII, it is a x4. Against Armored Xemnas, there is a x10 multiplier. In battles with Non-Party Co-operative Characters, (such as those with the people from Final Fantasy and when Hercules is with you, but you cant see his health bar) there is no chance of transforming (x0).

I should also point out that the chance of transforming is based on the number of points you have before you select the Form, so there's still a chance to transform into Anti-Form if you try to transform into Final Form (as I have done before).

That has happened to me a couple of times too, y'see, whenever I used a drive form, which was pretty rare anyway, it would usually be in a difficult boss fight. And one time, it transformed into the anti-form instead of Valor, and that got on my nerves! Instant death. Apparantly, the Anti-Form is supposed to be strong at certain stuff like physical attacks, but I'm just not prepared to fight with it. My health just seems to decrease really quickly.

I like to use the anti-form during the Saix battle. Right when he goes into that super berserk and starts flying around, using the ani-form lets you run around the stage avoiding his attacks. That, other than good combos, is probably the only good thing about anti-form.

no ones on this one either.... oh well. my friend says theres no point system. wisdom/valor 3 drive gauges. master 4 drive gauges. final form 5 drive gauges. and that anti-form form takes all drive gauges no matter how many. at least the american version anyway

A friend of mine got Anti-form twice in a row, during Xaldin's battle in Proud Mode. He survived the first Drive, and almost got killed in the second, but he managed to survive. He died sometime later, and Mickey rescued him. He revived Sora and he selected Master Form to go Thunder on Xaldin. Guess what? Anti-form... he died out of despair....

Anti form rules. I like it when I get to use it in the fight agianst Xemnas but thats just me. I personlly like Final Form its my favorite drive form. Its good to use when there are a lot of enemies or if you are fighting a really big enemy because you just go all over and it has helped me to dodge alot of attacks in the past.

I really agree with you and i hope they fix this in Final Mix+ because i think AntiSora is a really cool idea, but you should be able to do more with it, like maybe swim through the ground the way neoshadows do or something. True there are some good things to AntiSora like the long attack combos, its easier to die in this form than it is to kill your enemy, at least that is my opinion.

No, it's not a punishment, its just to say that you've used too much power!:D
