Chapter One
A Fathers Choice
As dawn approaches the horizon, a fog has settled on the fields below. The Daimyo Tojeyama is quietly thinking. He has realized that his problem is big and his alternatives are few and none seem to be the answer. His village is beautiful and he has been its leader for a long time and before him his ancestors ruled. His family has seen many wars, droughts, disease and rebellion. All of his ancestors have been successful in ruling and he had up until this point in time. A neighboring Emperor has grown in size and power. As he sat all night thinking he knew that he is conquering another land and he knows that his is next and soon. He has recently been loyal to another king in the west, who is also powerful and an enemy to the east king. He loves his village people. He has known them for generations. His fathers have known their fathers. He feels responsible for their safety. He can form an allegiance with this other king but his village is not strong enough to be an asset. He has only one child, one daughter. She is the only one that can lead the village in his family after his death. He can offer her in marriage but will the family be taken care of or discarded. What would be their future under this new kingdom? The king to the West cannot win a war against the east and his village would be slaughtered. His village cannot hide for long. Along time trusted friend is coming toward him. He does not speak. He just hands him a scroll. He opens it and gasps. He sees the seal of the East King. The message reads. You have until noon sun to surrender you village and your authority or be destroyed for your land. I will send my shogun for your answer

Kai entered one of the villages owned by the West Emporer. He was with two other samurai for his backup as they looked for the palace of the Daimyo that owned this village, to hear his answer to the letter that was sent to him. He scaned the area seeing all the people that lived there and how oblivious they were to what was going to happen.They reach the palace and were greeted by the Daimyos shogun.

May went outside in search of the empress, she called her name several times and went back into the palace to find where she was.
Kai walked in the palace and looked around at the size of the place.His samurai were waiting outside for him to return or to assist him if needed."Tojeyama,were are you?"he called for him and walked down a large red and black hallway decorated with gold.

Tojeyama comes out of where he was at "I am here, what is it that you want" He asks the Shogun
"I was ordered by the East Emperor to come here to hear your answer to the letter you received."he replyed there was a pause between them for a moment"What have you decided?"

"You will surrender your village?"he asked him

"Your being to cocky old man."he said sarcasticly as he walked closer to him and stoped once he was infront of him."Sure you dont want to change your mind?"he asked

"As you wish."he replyed then began to walk away"Prepair to have you village destroyed."he said coldly over his shoulder.

Tojeyama makes a face and turns around back to his village and thinks that he has made a rather irratating decision
Kai walked past his Samurai and got on his horse, he looked at the village and what state it was currently in"Its sad really, all of this, is going to be a thing of the past." He saw his samurai past him on their horses and snaped out of his deep thought"Uh, YA!!" he yelled and took off out of the village.

as quickly as he could, Tojeyama gathered his Allies from the west to prepare for battle
Kai reached the Emperor in a village a long distance away that he attacked earlier"Sir,he has refused to surrender." The Emporer stood up from where he was sitting and looked in the direction of the village that Kai just came out of."Tell Keiji and Ryu, to prepair to fight again, and tell them this one may be more difficult than the other. "He commanded , he dusted off his armored shoulder looking un moved by the information he recived."Yes Sir."The Emperoro and his two sons had just recently took four villages from the West Emperor but this one had a Daimyo who was a Shogun at one point and was they best general that the west kingdom had, so his village was'nt going to be taken easily.
Meanwhile.....
The shogun of the West Emperor entered Tojeyama's palace and spoke with him awhile."Sir. Tojeyama, the Emperor will assist you in this fight, he's sending you the most elete samurai in his army. He said he's had enough of the East Emperor taking his territory, and he said you would be the one that would most likely win ."he said with a smirk.
OOC:Ryu and Keiji needed for this.

Kai looked around the tents of the Samurai soldiers looking for Keiji and Ryu, some of the soilders were hanging out around camp fires talking about what kind of loot they gained in the past couple of days from the villages they've conquered . It was mid day and the land was covered in burnt debrie of the houses that once stood in ther place, and the sky was covered in smoke. Kai didnt care to much for including himself in the small talk of the soilders .He didnt have much to say to the soldiers cause they seemed to like war and blood shed, Kai hated it and would have loved an alternitive .But there was no choice fo him."Sir Keiji!....Sir Ryu!" he called

Keiji stepped out of a tent. "Yes?" He asked, slowly walking pat the soldiers and their fires and was infront of Kai. "You called?" He said, closing his eyes.. A leaf fell from a nearby tree. It twirled around him, then softly hit the ground
"There you are, wheres Ryu? he needs to hear this information as well." he replyed

May came down the stairs looking down at the lobby as she slowly stepped, "I have searched every room in every wing and I cannot find this girl." she stopped in the middle of the lobby and nodded her head.

Ryu said to Keiji "Lets get them brother!" as he pulled out his sword and prepared to attack

May walked back up the stairs, she bowed to the maid womans as they bowed to her in greeting, "Temari!" she called up the stairs, "Temari!" she called again.
Temari looked behind her as May walked in. "There you are may. I've been looking for you." She smiled faintly.

"Hmm..." Keiji thought. "We're going to war yet again." He continued. He closed his eyes again. "So be it." He said. As yet another leaf fell to the ground.

Tojeyama has all his allies from the west ready to fight "Men we need to get a goodnights rest if we expect to have any chance againts the east empire, so men be prepared and sleep well" Tojeyama told his Soldiers
Kai changed the subject and tryed to get them in a better mood"Hey but we've gotten this far so maybe we can get them easily, im just a lttle down cause war is'nt one of my favotrite pass times."he looked up and sighed ."I hope maybe we can make an alliance with them or somthing? but thats just a thought."he said

Tojeyama see's Temari and May, and tells them about the Battle that they are going to have to fight in in order for the Village to still be theres "So May, and Temari, are you guys ready to fight tomorrow?" Tojeyama asks them both
A man in a white mask appeared in the distance infront of Tojeyama, he suprised him cause he was unseen to him till now. He was carrying two kantanas but he didnt draw them to fight.
Meanwhile....
The Emperor walked up in front of Keiji and Ryu and gave them each a Kantana."The other ones were brittle and aging, these well make the battle easier."

May smirked, "You have been looking for me, while I have been searching for you, probably why none of us were found until I called." she shook her head, "What is is you are doing?" she asked softly.
Temari laughed lightly. "Staring into the brilliant sunset. It is beautiful isn't it?" Her eyes were worried. "And waiting for Keiji to return of course." She said.

"Im a hired assassin for the West Emperor, he sent me to assist in this war." he replyed.He had the distigushig features of a rogue samurai and he looked extremely powerful.
