This is alittle bit of the subject but in kingdom hearts 1, the door in destiny Island, Does it mean anything cause i remember seeing a keyhole appearing there in one of those "Memories" when they where young. Than you never hear from it again.
Not even in kh2. But now that there back on there island, what would happen to the door!?
Please reply. I really need an answer!:) :) :) Thankyou so much!

Well Riku was the one who saw and I'm not sure if he remembers seeing that. The door should still be there it just depends if Sora finds out about that keyhole.
I think that the door was an illusion created by Xehanort (who appeared near the beginning of Kingdom Hearts I) of the door in the End of the World, which led Sora and co. back to Destiny Islands for the end of the game. So by Kingdom Hearts II the door has gone.
Edit: Ignore this lol. See below.

I was discussing this with one of my online, geeky buddies lol (ok so we're not full geeks XD) and I saw it too but he kept saying he didn't. But didn't Sora go in there and see what Kairi drew? I'm just trying to remember some things. I think he did and I didn't see a keyhole then. Maybe Riku unlocked it so Sora and Kairi couldn't ask about it? I'm just pullin stuff out the sky here.

He went in the Secret Area but not through the door itself.

Zexion could have easily also did this because he had the power to mess with one's memories/life by making illusions. But then again Xehanort could have done this too after the experiments being done on him to take his own research further with Ansem's apprentices Ienzo, Braig, Dilan, and Elaeus who later became members of the Organization XIII Zexion, Xigbar, Xaldin, and Lexaeus.

I didnt understand destiny island that much in kh but I thought the door would play a more important role, like you could only go there once (except when fighting ansem but that dont count) so it might play a descent part in kh3

Ignore what I just said lol, the doors look completely different from eachother.
Hmm, I've just watched the cutscenes of when Sora, Riku and Kairi first leave the island and when Sora returns for the end of the game. In the first, the door opens blasting darkness throughout Destiny Islands, and blowing Kairi "through" Sora as he tries to catch her before he's blown outside to fight the massive Heartless. You're right, the door is there in the Ending as well.
So I still think that it was an illusion, but not of anything specific lol. It's not Zexion because Xehanort as Ansem appeared in an unknown cloak by the door. It's Xehanort's voice talking to Sora throughout the game.
I also watched the first ever full trailer, and that included the door shown with the Keyhole on it and Sora unlocking/locking it with the Keyblade.
From what Riku says about "The door has opened. We can go to other new worlds", I'm guessing the door is actually the portal to leave Destiny Islands.

I actually thought about this, now lets see if I can explain myself.
Riku was the original Key Bearer, right? He had the power to unlock keyholes. Thing is, remember that flashback Sora had in KH1, which showed Riku and Sora finding the Secret Place, and when they leave, Riku stares at the door, and it has a keyhole. So now lets suppose Riku already had the Keyblade before the Heartless' attack to Destiny Islands. He unlocked it (if we believe he already had the Keyblade), but then, he was absorbed by darkness (in that scene where Sora tries to save him, and gets absorbed as well). Sora, then, receives the Keyblade and goes to the Secret Place. Ok, so there's the door, and there's Kairi too. The door opens violently, and if you watch carefully, there's darkness coming out of it. Kairi is thrown to Sora (in this part, Kairi's heart leaves her body and stays inside Sora's body. We understand this in Hollow Bastion, when Sora realises Kairi is inside him and that's why Hollow Bastion's Keyhole wasn't revealed: Kairi's body was there, but not her heart).
So, Destiny Islands is destroyed by darkness. In the end of the game, we get to see the inside of Kingdom Hearts, and what's behind the door. And we see the Heartless in there. Since Kingdom Hearts is the Heart of All Worlds, we finally understand what happened to Destiny Islands. When Riku gave up to the Darkness, he allowed Darkness to corrupt his lock in the single Keyhole he ever locked, which was Destiny Islands.
Pretty much:
Question: Right then, we'd like to ask you some questions about that improved story. First, was Kairi coming to Destiny Islands fate, or was it just coincidence?
Nomura: It was both. It's not shown in this game, and it's a delicate issue whether I can call this a living setting, but anyway Kairi was sent out from Hollow Bastion by Ansem's hand. And the reason why Ansem sent her was to find the Keyblade. There was actually evidence of that in the jail at the End of the World. Ansem thought that girls who are princesses would be sure to make it to the place of the Keyblade. So Kairi coming to the place with Sora and Riku was both chance, and also fate.
Question: Do you mean to say that there are other "Keyblade Heroes"?
Nomura: Well, undoubtedly there are other "Keyblade Heroes", but it just so happened that this time, Kairi made it to the world where Riku and Sora were. That's all.
Question: About Riku being the rightful owner of the Keyblade - why is it that Sora had the Keyblade first?
Nomura: That part is also a bit vague. In the Destiny Islands when Riku is swallowed by the darkness, there's a sparkle of light, and next comes the scene where Sora first gets the Keyblade, right? In my setting, the darkness wrapping itself around those two is the darkness of Riku's heart. At the moment when Sora enters that darkness, the light you can see is the light of the heart. Sora, trying to help Riku, struggling in the darkness, touches that light and temporarily the Keyblade goes to Sora.

lol You've got more info on the door than I attempted to explain about. People might actually understand your explanation.

I'm not good at theorizing. I mean, I am good, but I'm not good at explaining the theory, specially on a language that isn't my mother language.

was the man in brown near the door ansem (Xehanorts heartless) or was organization or what?
where is the light?
12-21-2006, 07:37 AM
u would think that becuase of his voice and when ansem first appeared in front of rikku he was in a "brown coat" or wut ever
I think it was Xemnas (Xehanort's Nobody). The thing is it was DiZ (Ansem the Wise) who was talking to Sora all the way through. He never wore an Organization cloak, so I think that was Xemnas.
i looked in that door and let me tell you. nock first.
