is Final Fantasy XII any good?

I was just wondering because i plan to buy the special edition and i just wanted to know if it is worth the money.I'll probably get it anyways but i hated Tatics Advanced and i see that that is what XII is based off of...

Yeah, it's definitley the best FF game out so far..People usually say 7 is a little better, but the graphics and storyline are so much more adavanced than any of the FF games out so far, it is definitley worth the money.

well ff12 is sort of good. but personally, i think that ff10 and ff10-2 are the best. i got the collectors edition adn its got like all these pics for the game and a whole ff history. its pretty kool.

Yeh its really good best I have played so far. The battle system is similar to Final Fantasy X-2 when they have the meter, when its full you can attack. I didn't like that battle system for X-2 but the good thing about this game is you can actually move around while your fighting. The area that you walk upon is your battlefield! Except when in towns or villages, the storyline is great.

When you get the game make sure when you check out your lincense points to unlock quickenings. They are very useful, you may not know what I mean yet but when you play the game you will.

I think FF12 is okay, but not good. I haven't played it myself yet, since its not coming out in UK till february 2007.

But, I'm gonna try it. But theres other games I am more mad about than FF12.

I preordered FFXII and Rogue Galaxy in the UK long ago. However excellent FFVII is, I have high expectations for XII from what I've heard. I've just got Dirge of Cerberus which is also brilliant and the graphics are better than Advent Children.

It takes about 6-8 months to get from Japan to America and 4-6 months to get from America to here in the UK. Yes it sucks like hell.

FF12 is amazing. The graphics are amazing, although i think the in-game movies could have had better graphics, but i suppose this was necessary bacause this is a huge game. But FF12 is very different than any other FF, so some hardcore ppl could be....potentially disappointed....??

Last I checked, Earth, although I've been told I've been from Glarnak 7 before. Obviously I don't mean in-game graphics. Square finally got the hair almost perfect in the cutscene vids, and is slightly better than Advent Children, probably because of the High Definition.

ff12 is different than the other ffgames. it doesnt have a sobby love story, awesome graix&cutscenes as well as the gameplay. u should consider playing it. i have it & i will say that im impressed.

XII has great graphics, stunning visuals, and once you get used to the battled system it rocks! The side quests are fun and the freedom of movement is also good. The scale of the game, the worlds and the hidden worlds I enjoyed a lot. In my opinion that's the good part, it is also the part that makes it worth buying. How the hell can you say that the chararacter are dry they are not dry and the story is so not weak I say that it was the best final fantasy game yet. I also say that I am glad that this ff game did not have any love story!

FF12 is fantastic, the hardest to date by my count. And i was a little relieved that there wasn't a love-story as well. But it is one of the best-storylines, a little political. One of the most thuroughly entertaining games I have ever played. I have over 70 hours of gameplay and I still haven't beat it, but I have also been preoccupied with my Ps3. lol

also think that in about a years time or so them might not have the problem of games been released earlier in japan and the US, as if ya get a PS3 it will be region free with most games(not Blu-Ray tho) so you can import ya games to play on your english PS3 or vice versa, as its cheaper to buy a import PS3 (which im gonna do YAY!!!)

That is one upside to the PS3, a lot of region free releases thanks to the online features. But there are some things in Japan that don't go to the US site, vice versa. lol

From what I hear, FFXII is the hardest Final Fantasy, and wouldn't be a good one to start with. I'm in UK with it pre-ordered and ready to come lol

OH, she is a beach! lol! It took me a while to get a real strategy going. Especially sence I had the completely wrong weapons for the fight.

I love this game, it is my favorite of the FFs so far. It is completely different from other FFs, but it still retains that FF essense that keeps us all coming back. The gameplay is great, Story is great, it is all great. The only thing that lags is the music, it doesn't take the big role in the game that the music did in previous Final Fantasy's, but it's still really good.

I heard it was a pretty cool game, If I played it i know i'd like it. I heard from ratings and stuff that it's really great game. Even on channel G4 on X-Play, Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb are hard to please with a game liked it. They gave it a 5 out 5 which is rare. They don't even like the other final fantasy games and they loved it, probably because it didn't have a love story in it. So it looks like a really good game.

I know. OPM has almost never given a game a 10/10, but they gave this game a 10/10. This game is getting some really good ratings, It has gotten game of the year awards from several magazines.

Has anyone finished this game yet? I plan to as soon as I finish this one I am doing, Full Auto 2. But I haven't heard of anyone that has finished it yet, lol. It's hard, it can really burn you out. lol.

the game is good, that is, if you have enough time to devote on it...coz the game's kinda hard for me... I played it to know the story...and that's the end of it... now...i'm playing it again...bcoz i didnt pay too much attention at first time...


Who knows how to get past the second temple im stuck trying to get past the big sword in the way.
go running around the area...there are 3 statues that can be moved. look to the map, and point the statues to the center of the temple (one w/c dosent seem to be accsesible), there are arrows on them to help...hope I helped!!

yeah yeah FFXII is "ok" but i still think it has nothing on VII's story or characters. I mean come on, a space pirate? thats worse than sphere hunters. its stupid. but on the other hand, graphics and the summons are intense, and if u havent noticed, the summons are also the summons from tactics advanced.

i just feel space pirates are put into games way to much. theyre just bringing something out again thats been used millions of times. the summons were GREAT i absolutely loved them BUT i agree, bahamut shouldve been one. and so shouldve Knights Of The Round :D
