[Chaser's Apprentice]

Hundreds have died in the JFK airport malfunction. Every single airborne plane at that exact time, December 23, 2009, 12:01 in the afternoon, had fallen from the sky. It's their duty to stop this...again. These people have a curse you may say, they wander time unintentionally, when they walk through doors people change, when they fall asleep buildings fall. When these select people do anything, time is manipulated. Of course, where may they appear when a ripple disrupts the pool that is time? The dangerous Amazon Jungle? They may end up in the Ice Age, prone to death. In the middle of World War II. What ever the risks, they must keep the lives of those dead before they die once more, for time is a tricky thing. If a building is built and another sees the building built once more through time, that building is duplicated in the future. And so if they see the crashes again, the crashes will be permanent, they can fix nothing then.

I peered anxiously out the window, wondering what was going on. Vividly I recalled my nightmare, the one with that man...the man with the knife. Who was he, and why was I dreamin about him? He had been chasing me...
Knowing it wasn't important at the moment, I shook the thought off, and stared at my fellow passengers.

Preo saw the buildings towering over him into the New York sky. However this sky wasn't as clear as when he had seen it earlier. Smoke rose into the sky and people were running frantically around, to and from the site of the smoke. Police, fire trucks, and ambulences raced passed Preo who had decided to follow them curiously.

Deciding I would get nothing done if I sat here, I left the plane, and went over to a fallen building. People were running crazily around it, but one boy, who was following the police on foot. He was eeerily calm...who was he? He looked awfully familiar...Curious, I followed him.

Once he had gotten to the crashed plane and the obliterated building above, he couldn't even recognize the ambulence he had followed to make his way here. There were simply too many, to the left, right, and where ever he went he saw more emergency vehicles. News people everywhere, glaring as if lovesick into large cameras. "...plane to Sacramento." He had caught the last of the sentense of the nearest news person, it was a rather tall woman. Sacramento? Preo thought, he checked the watch swathed around his wrist, it was 12:32 in teh afternoon, the plane must have been the plane his sister had been on earlier. Preo's face, bathed in sweat, raced into the scene.

"Woah!" Said Nikki "I guess theres been a plane crash."

People, dead, were being carried out of the plane which could simply be entittled with the name of rubbish by now.

I stopped when the boy did, staying well away from the newscasters. I leaned forward slightly, listening. Apparently, a plane had crashed on it's way to Sacramento. Sacramento? Where's that? I thought, frightened. Images from my memory flashed into being: The plane I was told had crashed when I was nine, and that had been in Sacramento. No one had survived, and my parents had been on it. Suppose their linked? I'm probably the only survivor from this one. Maybe someone was trying to kill me... my face turned pale, and I dismissed the thought, watching, waiting...

Several teenage boys behind him were fooling around, making obscene faces into a camera man shooting a reporter whose eyes were rolling. She most likely known the children were behind her. "...JFK Airport. Every single airborne airplane at 12:01 PM Today monitered by JFK have fallen."

Convinced no one would recognize me, I went into the crowd of newsreporters, looking for the boy I had followed. Which, no doubt, had been a huge mistake. "Hey, there she is!" The man's voice rang in my ears like gunfire. All camreas, all eyes turned to me, and I bolted. Frightened shouts of "Get her!" and, "Someone call the police!" followed me, and I ran until I came to a deserted alleyway, where I sat and rested. All I had wanted to do was get another look at the boy I had followed...why did he look so familiar to me?

People had ran away from the scene, a strange sight since the smoking plane was breaking news. Preo couldn't do much about it though, and so, being faster than the newsreporters because of their camera men falling behind. "Hey you!" He called out to a girl they had been chasing.

Thinking the call out to me was another civilian, I ignored it, continuing to run. What is wrong with these people??? You do things in time of desperate needs, and they all turn on you, thinking you'll turn out like your parents. It disgusts me the way they won't listen to your side of the story. I didn't stop running until I was sure no one was following me, and spat, disgusted.

I ignored the girl who had bumped into me, and ran down the alley, looking for a place to hide. The mob was getting closer, and they probably had the police with them. I couldn't let them find me, no matter what happened.
