I love VIII.I lost count of the amount of times I've completed, I never get bored.
Plus i love the mods for it like the model mod and stuff. Theres a model mod for VII as well but it looks out of place in game.

Oh, everytime I play FF8, I purposely make sure they perform the Irish Jig. It's just too funny, considering the conversation Squall and Rinoa have.

I like Spoony. He's about as snarky as me, so we'd probably have tons of fun. I just think he should have set his sights more appropriately on FF VII instead. He did a short little thing on it for his FF VIII review, but I really think VII deserves much more of a bashing. At least FF VIII was trying out some new gameplay systems. FF VII did jack s**t for the series.

I mean, if you look at it, within the first couple hours, it hits you with a cast of entertaining characters, delightful amounts of action, and gorgeous cut scenes - and it never really stops.

By gorgeous, I don't mean that each of the stiches in Rinoa's ensemble were individually rendered into visual perfection. Seeing a ship crash over a barricade, then seeing the cut scene smoothly transition back to the gameplay? Awesome. Watching Quistis mow down a gigantic mechanoid spider? Priceless, and well worth not getting the extra SeeD rank for killing the machine just to see it. Squall and Rinoa meeting each other for the first time and dancing? Oh dear lord, the entire scene is so lovely that I just have to watch it several times before I can move on.

FF8 even has an awesome minigame. Yeah, I said it. Tetra Triad is freaking awesome.

Yeah, the junction system wasn't top notch and it was incredibly easy to manipulate, but who cares? The gameplay was solid enough to keep me from complaining and the characters were great. The hopeless romantic in me keeps me coming back for the timeless scenes in this game time and time again. I don't care what anyone thinks; FF8 is fun, exciting, and a damn good game.

i hope to get FF8 for christmas
