League of Legends

I feel cool, being talked about while I'm not here and all. Brings a bit of warmth to my heart.

I bought Udyr a week ago. I like to practice with a champion before I even think about looking at playing ranked with them because, well, nobody likes losing because someone doesn't know how to play their champion. I completely agree about Triforce being a shitty first item for Udyr, especially if you rush it above everything else. The only thing he sincerely needs is the hammer. That game, however, I started with boots, moved into a HoG (as should be readily demonstrated by the Randuin's) and, based on where the items are the end, probably picked up my hammer second, followed by Wit's End. I honestly can't tell you what I did and why afterwards (it's been over a week, christ), but I can assure you that Triforce was probably the last item I got. It works well with his Q and, based on my score and the stats, I was probably just back dooring during what looks like a long game.

Six months is also a helluva lot of time to be gone from League of Legends. Lots of changes happen. They nerfed lifesteal recently (as in, within six months, I think) so Wriggle's is no longer the end-all be-all that it might have been at one point. Frankly, Udyr doesn't need it. It gives him nothing that he wants. I usually pick up a pair of wards after my first or second blue pill and depending on the way I think the other team is playing, sometime an Oracle's. But Wriggle's is pointless. Udyr doesn't do damage in the jungle with his physical attacks; he does it with the magic damage from his R. On top of that, his W gives him a ton of health back, especially after you've gotten it to just level two. With blue buff feeding you mana, there's no need to worry about lifesteal, especially once you consider the fact that the W serves as both a shield AND lifesteal. Furthermore, what with the obscenely high chance of stealing the opponent's red and golems at the ELO I'm at, it's better to just gank smart and play safe for the late game with a quick HoG.

Morgana hasn't been a viable ban in a while though. The new ban-celeb is Ezreal who seriously is the best AD in the game right now and one of my absolute favorites since the dawn of time.
